Saint Francis: after a dissolute youth he was converted at Assisi in Umbria and embraced an evangelical life, becoming poor himself to serve Jesus Christ, whom he found most of all in the poor and abandoned. He gathered the Friars Minor around him and preached the love of God to everyone, as he traveled even as far as the Holy Land. He aspired to the perfect following of Christ in word and deed, and wished to die upon the bare earth.

Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

We are excited to celebrate one of our community's most beloved annual traditions! We welcome all pet lovers in our parish community and surrounding area to join us this evening in our Courtyard of Charity after the 5:30pm Mass for a special blessing over your pets in celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi!

You may access our Courtyard of Charity by entering the black gate located on Elk Avenue adjacent to the front doors of our church. You may also access our Courtyard of Charity by using the entry gate behind the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes next to our adoration chapel.

Whether your beloved companion is furry, feathered, or scaled, please bring them along so we can thank God for the joy they bring to our lives and invoke His protection over them. All are welcome!

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, Archangels. This angel holding the candelabra shines bright in our church sanctuary—reminding us of how Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael continuously bring God’s light into our darkest moments.

May the light of the Archangels watch over you and guide your way today. Take a moment today to thank God for your angel, and ask for their continued guidance and protection. 🙏🏻
