Presbytery of San Fernando

Presbytery of San Fernando Every congregation a mission center. Find a church near you: http://goo.gl/maps/3F2Jt

The Presbytery of San Fernando exists to empower our congregations, provide leadership development, create sustainability, and to embrace the diversity in our Presbytery, community, and our world. Our vision is to enable every church within our bounds to be a mission center, reaching out to a diverse and rapidly-changing community and world. The Presbytery of San Fernando, a middle governing body

of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), is comprised of 23 churches in the northwest corner of Los Angeles County. It includes heavily urbanized communities, suburban communities and rural areas, and is extremely diverse in both its racial/ethnic and socio-economic makeup.

Today marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Month. The PC(USA) has a variety of resources to support your mental health ministry. These are designed for individual use and by leadership in mental health ministry in an effort to expand mental health awareness and understanding, end stigma surrounding mental illnesses, and expand the capacity of ministers and congregants to engage in mental health ministry. THE COURSE “CONFESSIONS AND PRESBYTERIAN POLITY” WILL BE OFFERED FOR HISPANIC LEADERS OF THE PC(USA)

Western Theological Seminary, in Holland, Michigan, through its Hispanic Ministry Program (HMP https://www.westernsem.edu/admissions/hmp/), announces the opening of registration for the course “Confessions and Presbyterian Government,” which will take place from August 31 to December 18, 2026. The course will be taught by Rev. Dr. Juan Sarmiento and is specifically designed for Hispanic Presbyterian leaders in the ordination process. This course offers a master 's-level academic and formative opportunity to deepen understanding of the confessions of faith and the structure of Presbyterian governance—fundamental elements of ministry within the Reformed tradition. The online class seeks to support the development of Hispanic Presbyterian leadership in the United States by providing tools that integrate theological reflection and denominational identity at a graduate level.

This initiative is made possible through the joint work of Western Theological Seminary and the
Presbytery of San Fernando. Registration is now open, and space is limited. Interested
individuals may contact Jaime Lázaro by text at (818) 482-3045 or by email at:
