FAITHCHILD

FAITHCHILD Spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to children and youth across Los Angeles! The time has come. God has called us to action. Why must we be like them? Father!

Mission statement: FAITHCHILD seeks to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children and youth of Los Angeles. We desire to see a generation saved, transformed, and empowered by the mighty work of God through the preaching of the Word and through the power of the Holy Spirit. The name FAITHCHILD is inspired by the incredible faith that I see in the amazing children that I have had the privi

lege of ministering to in Glendale for the past 5 years. They are a representation of what God desires to do in the city of Los Angeles through the little ones. For Jesus Himself said…

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14

Furthermore, Christ also says...

“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:3

Why is this? What is it about little children that Jesus calls us all to be like them? They are small, helpless, powerless, week, easily hurt or sick, vulnerable, needy, completely dependent and reliant on those who are bigger and stronger than them. The disciples would have pondered this very question in an ancient Jewish society where children would have been considered “least” in the Kingdom of Heaven. After all, doesn’t our Western culture scream at us to be self-sufficient, go getters, who work hard for what we want and supposedly deserve? Our society bases its faith on what it can see and touch. It bases its trust in something by the way it feels or by the looks of it. Unlike many adults, Children have faith in what they cannot see. Children take you at your word for what you say. Children TRUST without question. And furthermore, children are 100% dependent on adults. Christ calls us to have such humility as this.To lay down our pride and crawl into the arms of the Father. Let us cry out like a small child, “Abba! I do not understand but I need you!” What does the Lord desire more than to see His children come to Him, to trust Him in every situation, to lean on Him for every single need? I believe that revival, salvation, and renewal will break out in the city of Los Angeles through the children. Their faith WILL move mountains. I am therefore commissioned, empowered, called, directed, and commanded to go out and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children of Los Angeles. I do this not by my own power but by the power of the Spirit who lives within me, the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead. THE VISION: To evangelize, disciple, teach, raise up, and empower children and youth of this city so that they may go out into their schools, their homes, their friends, their teachers, their neighborhoods, their cities, their nation, and the world, to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. I want to see God move mightily among the young people of Los Angeles. I already have seen it and I know in faith that I will continue to see it as God’s Spirit moves and spreads like wildfire across this city in the hearts of the little ones. FAITHCHILD PRESIDENT

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Isaiah 6:8

We live in a world full of brokenness. Sometimes it's hard to feel like we can make a difference when we look around at all the pain. Have you ever thought about how Jesus stopped for the one? He turned and paid attention to the blind beggar Bartimaeus that cried out to him amidst the crowd that tried to silence his cries (Mark 10:46-52).

He took time to stop and declare over the woman...

"Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:34)

There was crying and weeping all around him just as there is today. Yet each one he stopped for found their lives transformed. With each new day we have new assignments from Heaven. There are new people to stop for. With the Spirit of God and the proclaiming of the Word we bring the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth. With each conversation, prayer, helping hand, or even sitting in silent comfort with someone as they weep.

Stop for the ones that God puts in front of you and you will make a difference that stretches beyond this side of eternity.

Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
