🚨 تنبيه بشأن عمليات الاحتيال 🚨
تُحيط إدارة شرطة "بيوريا" (Peoria) علماً بوقوع حادثتين على الأقل تورط فيهما شخص ينتحل صفة ضابط شرطة من "بيوريا" في محاولة للاحتيال على الشركات المحلية وسلب أموالها.
في هاتين الحادثتين، عرّف المتصل عن نفسه باسم "الملازم جون لوكلي" (Lt. John Lockly)، وادعى زوراً أن الشركات تخضع لعملية تدقيق بسبب تداول أوراق نقدية مزورة. وقد أصدر المتصل تعليمات للموظفين بسحب المبالغ النقدية من صناديق الدفع (الخزائن)، وعدّ الأموال أثناء البقاء على الخط الهاتفي معه، ثم التوجه إلى مواقع مختلفة لتحويل الأموال عبر تطبيق "CashApp" والبطاقات مسبقة الدفع.
وفي إحدى الحالات، عندما بدأت إحدى الموظفات في استجواب المتصل والتشكيك في أقواله، هددها بإرسال ضباط الشرطة لاحتجازها.
دعونا نكن في غاية الوضوح: إن إدارة شرطة "بيوريا" لن تقوم أبداً بالاتصال بكم لتوجيهكم بسحب الأموال، أو تحويلها، أو إيداعها، أو إرسالها بأي شكل من الأشكال.
ويشمل ذلك: تطبيق "CashApp"، وبطاقات الهدايا، وبطاقات الخصم المباشر مسبقة الدفع، والعملات المشفرة، والإيداعات النقدية عبر أكشاك الخدمات أو المتاجر.
قد يبدو المتصل مقنعاً للغاية، وقد يدعي معرفته بتفاصيل شخصية تتعلق بالموظفين أو بمحيط عملهم. وفي بعض الحالات، من المحتمل أن يكون المشتبه به موجوداً في الجوار ويراقب مقر العمل عن كثب.
إذا تلقيت مكالمة من هذا النوع: • أغلق الخط فوراً. • لا تقدم أي أموال أو معلومات شخصية. • اتصل بالرقم 911 إذا كنت تعتقد أن المشتبه به قد يكون موجوداً في الجوار أو يراقب موقعك بشكل فعلي ومباشر. • أبلغ شرطة "بيوريا" عن الحادثة عبر خط الاتصال المخصص للحالات غير الطارئة، وذلك في حال عدم وجود تهديد فوري ومباشر.

The Peoria Police Department is aware of at least two incidents involving an individual impersonating a Peoria Police officer in an attempt to scam local businesses out of money.
In these incidents, the caller identified himself as “Lt. John Lockly” and falsely claimed that businesses were being audited due to counterfeit bills. The caller instructed employees to remove cash from registers, count the money while remaining on the phone, and then travel to various locations to transfer funds through CashApp and prepaid cards.
In one case, when an employee began questioning the caller, he threatened to send officers to detain her.
Let us be absolutely clear: The Peoria Police Department will NEVER call you and direct you to withdraw, transfer, deposit, or send money in any form.
This includes: CashApp Gift cards Prepaid debit cards Cryptocurrency Cash deposits at kiosks or stores
The caller may appear convincing and may claim to know personal details about employees or their surroundings. In some cases, it is possible the suspect may be nearby observing the business.
If you receive a call like this: • Hang up immediately • Do not provide money or personal information • Call 911 if you believe the suspect may be nearby or actively watching your location • Report the incident to Peoria Police through our non-emergency line if there is no immediate threat
