Our Parish Choir is currently seeking bass 2 (low bass) and soprano 2 (lower soprano) singers for the next choir year, starting Wednesday, Sept. 9th! The Parish Choir is a group of 20 friendly and welcoming people who sing at the 11 AM service each Sunday morning. They rehearse on Weds. nights from 7:00-8:30 PM. They are mainly volunteers, though supported by a quartet of professional singers (choral scholars).

The choir sings a wide variety of excellent sacred music, representing composers from the last 600 years, diverse in many ways. If you've sung in a choir before, or perhaps played an instrument in band or orchestra, the Parish Choir may be a great place to be involved! By the way, we always need more tenors, altos, baritones, and first sopranos! :)

Please plan to join us this Thursday at 12:05 PM in the Historic Church as organist Lisa Hall from Christ Church Cathedral in Lexington plays a varied program of music on our beautiful new Casavant organ. A retiring collection will benefit a the Heaven's Table food pantry.

Summer Choir is this Sunday at the 11 AM Service!

Join us this Sunday, where we'll sing a simple anthem titled “How very good and pleasant” by Arlen Clarke. We’ll meet at 10:15 in the choir room and learn the music. The choir will sit out in the pews for most of the service, coming up to the chancel to sing during the offertory. No vestments or auditions required! If you’ve ever thought about joining the Parish choir, this is a great way to get a feel for it. Or, if you just want to sing a little bit with no commitment, this is for you too!

Do you know a child who likes music? Our Youth Choir begins next month, on Wednesday, September 9th! Youth Choir is for kids ages 6-13 who want to learn more about music and singing, have some fun together, and make some friends in the process. We use the Royal School of Church Music model of teaching, which is a great kid-centered method of introducing children to music.

Youth Choir rehearses weekly on Wednesdays, from 5:00-5:50 PM and sings on the first Sunday of each month at the 9 AM Children's worship service. Our kids benefit from learning how to read music and how to sing--skills that are proven to enhance their brains in many other ways. Plus, beginning music at a young age gives them a head, start should they be interested in band, choir or orchestra when it usually begins in the 6th grade.

There is no cost to participate, and church membership is not required, just a commitment to attendance. Please navigate to our website for more information and an enrollment form:

We have a great lineup of young professionals, fun groups, soloists, ensembles, early music, contemporary music, and everything in between. This year's brochure also outlines information about Evensong services, Christmas, Holy Week and just about everything else happening musically. Summer Revival 2026
For the last six weeks, the downstairs at CCG has truly been a labor of love.
Together, we have transformed our children's and formation spaces into welcoming, engaging environments designed to nurture faith, creativity, and community. The prayground in the chapel now has foam flooring and a tented space for our youngest worshipers. The nursery has been reimagined into development centers, including a baby space, art space, transportation play area, and homemaking center.
We reclaimed and revived a classroom dedicated to children's formation, complete with a 180-degree reading tree, a children's chapel area featuring a small altar, credence table, and baptismal font. Classroom 2 has been revitalized into a flexible gathering space with a cozy sitting area, conference table, and coffee and tea bar for fellowship, meetings, and connection.
Along the way, all four classrooms and the formation closet were cleaned, organized, and revitalized, creating a welcoming and functional space for ministry.
A huge thank you to Joanie, Edward, and Connor, Chris Boerup, Carl and Lynn Slater, Mick Cook, the Vestry, and my mom for the many hours of work, support, organizing, assembling, financing, and encouragement that made this project possible. This truly was a community effort, and I am so grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

Christ Church Glendale invites the community to its Annual Picnic and Ministry Fair on Sunday morning, August 2nd.

Have you ever wondered about the Church at the top of the Sharon Avenue hill, across from the Village Hall and fire station—the one with the bells that ring every quarter of an hour? Come and find out.

All are welcome to join the community at Christ (Episcopal) Church (965 Forest Avenue) for our annual picnic, which, this year, will include a ministry fair, intended to showcase many of the ministries in which the congregation participates. This is a great chance to see what we do and how and where you might want to fit in.

A combined service featuring the “10 AM Band” will be held in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. The Picnic and Ministry Fair will kick off right after the service concludes, upstairs in All Saints’ Hall. There will be plenty of food and all are welcome!

We had a great week at our 3rd annual Summer Music Camp! A big thanks to our many volunteers who helped make this possible. You’re invited to come and see what we’ve been up to tomorrow! Our campers will be back at the 9 AM service to help lead the music and show what they have learned. We’ll have a celebratory cake at the 10 AM coffee hour, and a slide show on the parish hall TV showing all of the fun we’ve been having.
