MJS Ministry
Miraculous Journeys of Surrender

You can not alter your past but you can leave your past on the alter.

Mission Statement
To break the lies of deception and dig up the roots that hold us bound to a past that doesn’t have any ties to our future. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
To teach the truth and authority of our identity in Christ as the sons and daughters of God the Father. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
John 1:12-13 NKJV
We are dedicated to the growth and maturing of the body of Christ. As we develop together the actions of love, the truth of His word, the purity of His heart to conquer division, and stand united growing as one in Christ Jesus and His love. “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:1-3 NKJV

We are a 1-year residential discipleship program introducing those who struggle with addiction, homelessness, and depression into a life-altering freedom through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a non-denominational organization that focuses on prayer, surrender, and self-awareness through accountability and honesty. We are a free, non-profit facility. Our main goal is to see men and women first established through God and then reconciled to family and loved ones, while maintaining a successful sober lifestyle. While going on to become peers and leaders in their communities.

By Dr. Myles Munroe
From his book “The Spirit of Leadership”

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule [have dominion] over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creation that move along the ground.”

The most amazing distinction here is that, in His creation of mankind, the Creator did not speak to the soil, the water, or the firmament. He spoke to Himself, saying, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule [have dominion or rulership over the rest of creation],”

Many of us miss the essential point here. Humans were not just made by God, but they were also drawn out of His own nature.

The word “image” used in this verse means the following in the original Hebrew text:
(selem) “statue, image, copy,” The word means image in the sense of essential nature. Human nature in its internal and external characteristics. So, too, God made man in His own “image” reflecting some of His own perfections: perfect in knowledge, righteousness, and holiness, with dominion over the creators….in Gen. 1:26 (the first occurrence of the word) the image of God is represented by two Hebrew words (selem and demut).

The word for likeness is akin to image but embraces an additional meaning:
(demut), “likeness; shape; figure; form; pattern.” First, the word means pattern, in the sense of the specifications from which an actual item is made. The verb form of likeness is the following: (damah), to be like, resemble, be or act like, liken or compare, devise, balance or ponder.

Why is it so important to understand these words and their implications? Because these are the words that define and describe the essence of your composition, capacity, ability, potential, and value. They also confirm and reveal how the Creator designed you and why.

According to the above definitions and meanings, to be made in God’s image and likeness means that you posses the spiritual nature, characteristics, essential specifications, and substances of God and are a reflection of His spiritual qualities. It also denotes that you were designed to be like, act like, and function like the Creator. In essence, God created you from His own substance and released you from His own Spirit, and therefore, as far as species go, you are in the “god class” in the sense that you are considered His “son” or offspring.

Love this!! 🔥🔥

Did you know Jacob was buried with Leah, not Rachel?

Not the woman he loved.

Not the one he cried for.

Not the one he labored fourteen years to have.
Leah.

In Genesis 49:29–31, when Jacob was about to die, he gave a clear instruction: “Bury me… in the cave… where Abraham and Sarah are… Isaac and Rebekah… and there I buried Leah.”

Pause.

Rachel was his passion.

Leah was his alignment.

Rachel was the love story.

Leah was the covenant story.

Rachel had his emotions.

Leah carried the promise.

Rachel was buried on the roadside (Genesis 35:19).

Leah was laid in the ancestral grave of covenant—the lineage of God’s dealings.

And here is the mystery:

Leah was the rejected one.

The one Jacob didn’t choose.

The one he endured, not desired.

But heaven chose her.

From Leah came Judah.

From Judah came Jesus Christ.

Let that settle in your spirit—

The woman rejected by a man
became central to God’s redemptive plan.

This is where many people miss it:

We are all trying to be “Rachel”—
seen, desired, celebrated.

But God builds legacy through “Leah seasons”—
hidden places, painful processes, quiet obedience.

Jacob’s final decision was not emotional—
it was spiritual alignment.

At the end of his life,
he didn’t choose love…
he chose covenant.

And that is the gospel pattern:

God does not build His purposes on human preference.

He builds on grace and election.

So if you feel overlooked…
if you feel like second choice…
if life has not chosen you first—
hear this clearly:

God’s choice overrides man’s rejection.
You may not be preferred by people,
but you can be positioned by God.
And when God positions a man,
history is rewritten.

Because in God’s hands,
the rejected become vessels,
the unseen become pillars.
and the overlooked become eternal significance.

If you are in your Leah season—
you are not losing.

You are being written into something bigger.

There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God. He is ready and waiting when you are 💚

“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭37‬-‭39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are not obligated to remain the person we were yesterday. There is better for us in this life.

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
