We are the Southern California Seventh-day Adventist youth and young adults. You are invited to join these unique and powerful gatherings.

Our movement is built on young pastors, mentors, artists, musicians, and creatives of all kinds. In the early 2010's, a group of youth leaders decided that something needed to be done to equip young people for their faith journey. They called every resource they had in LA and went under as many sofa pillows as they could to gather the funds for a one-day event that would rock the LA area. As a res

ult, 800 people attended the very first ONE House movement at a local Seventh-day Adventist church in the inner city. And for the past five years, the ONE House movement has been serving So Cal as a resource center for Youth and Young Adult gatherings. Starting up a new look with the same feel, the ONE House movement is calling all youth and young adult leaders to jump into this collective and change the culture in your neighborhood. We're calling out any youth leader, young adult leader, youth pastor, young adult pastor, or any parent that's willing to do this ministry with us, to build your local churches to join us in making this movement happen.

Fundamentally Yours, Part 2: A One House Bible Experience, happening April 17–19 at Forest Home.

This weekend is designed especially for young adults who want to grow spiritually, ask real questions, and connect deeply with others who are walking the same journey of faith. Through interactive sessions, worship, and meaningful community, we’ll explore practical topics like giving Bible studies, sharing your faith naturally, prayer, SDA Fundamental Beliefs, and mental and spiritual wellness.

Set in the beautiful mountains of Forest Falls, the weekend will also include fun activities like zip lines, a giant swing, ropes courses, great food, and time to relax and recharge.

Registration deadlines:
Early Bird: $100 — through March 15
Regular: $140 — March 16 to April 1
Late: $200 — April 2 to April 11

In honor of Global Youth Day, the One House team is participating in the Dream Center’s Adopt-A-Block program on Sabbath, March 21. The Dream Center serves eight different communities every Saturday morning from 9am-1pm, focusing on developing and maintaining consistent community relationships. Our One House pastors will be serving two neighborhoods with their churches. They will participate in activities, which may include picking up trash, playing with kids, distributing groceries or other items, knocking on doors, going into families' backyards or homes, offering prayer, and relational support.

Additionally, we have an opportunity for our SCC young adults to volunteer to serve the Skid Row neighborhood that morning. For this activity, there are 30 volunteer spots available. Young adults must be at least 18 years old to participate. Here is the link to sign-up:

It’s another One House Connect: Mix & Mingle event — last October, we had over 60 people who had a great evening together and asked for a round two! Think good vibes, delicious food and desserts, and plenty of fun activities to help you connect with others. Whether you’re into group games, one-on-one convos, or just want to hang out, there’s something for everyone.

Dinner: 6:00 PM (delicious food with Porto’s for dessert!)
Devotional: 6:45 PM
Activities + Games + Prizes: 7:00 PM until closing time!

Your One House team is kicking off 2026 with an Intercessory Prayer event for young adults at the Eagle Rock SDA church on January 10, 2026, beginning with dinner at 5pm. Our Intercessory Prayer program will begin at 6pm with worship and then travel through the Sanctuary, with 5 separate prayer stations:

🙏🏼Prayer of Lament (Altar of Sacrifice)
🙏🏼Prayer for Healing (Laver)
🙏🏼Prayer for Guidance (Lampstand)
🙏🏼Prayer of Consecration (Bread of the Presence)
🙏🏼Prayer for Social Justice/Community Wellness (Altar of Incense).

Our event will culminate with uplifting music, a visit to the Most Holy Place that celebrates God’s mercy, justice, and judgment in favor of the saints, and conclude with United Prayer led by Ruby (you don’t want to miss this!) We have designed this evening for young adults called to a deeper commitment to intercessory prayer and knowledge of the Sanctuary service. After our event, we’ll head to the Fellowship Hall for desserts, snacks, refreshments, and games.

Your One House team is sponsoring an exciting young adult volunteer opportunity coming up that I would love to share with you. On Monday, January 19, 2026, we will be heading back to the Dream Center in Los Angeles to lend a helping hand in their soup kitchen. This is a wonderful chance to give back to the community through service.

The Dream Center provides hundreds of free meals to community members every day, and our group will assist in their soup kitchen. Opportunities to volunteer will include preparing food (which may involve cooking, cutting, chopping, or sorting), serving meals to community members, handing out snacks, or wiping tables. The Dream Center is a 100% volunteer-supported organization and accepts no federal or state funding to support their mission work, so they need our help.

The Senior Youth and Young Adult department is excited to host our One House Connect: Mix & Mingle event on October 18 at Alhambra SDA Church. We're kicking things off with dinner at 6 PM sharp!

You told us you wanted a safe and fun spot to meet other young adult SDAs, and we listened! Your One House team whipped up this event just for you. Think good food, chill vespers, and plenty of fun activities designed to help you connect, whether you're into group games or just want to chat one-on-one. And yes, there will be games and prizes!

This event is exclusively for young adults aged 18-40 years old, and we'll be checking IDs at the door, so don't forget yours! Feel free to jump in and out of activities as you like and take breaks whenever you need to recharge. And a quick heads-up: this isn't just for singles! If you're in a relationship and between 18 and 40, we'd love for you to join the fun too!

Your SYYA team has canceled our August 10 Sports Day Tournament due to insufficient registration. We needed at least six teams per sport to provide for fun, competitive brackets; unfortunately, we did not have enough teams register to reach that threshold. We appreciate those teams who did sign up for the event, and we will issue refunds starting tomorrow.

We heard from many of you that wanted a Sports Day, and we truly share in the disappointment that we couldn’t make it happen this year. We look forward to talking with our pastors and churches as we plan what’s next. Based on the conversations and learnings, we are hopeful that we’ll be able to host a future Sports Day that’s not only fun but also brings us together in meaningful connection and friendly competition.
