When living in Arizona you get to experience plenty of sunshine! With Jesus Christ, you can experience sunshine in your soul!

How has Jesus Christ brought you joy?

There is sunshine in my soul today,
More glorious and bright
Than glows in any earthly sky,
For Jesus is my light.
Oh, there’s sunshine, blessed sunshine
When the peaceful happy moments roll.
When Jesus shows his smiling face,
There is sunshine in the soul.

There is music in my soul today,
A carol to my King,
And Jesus listening can hear
The songs I cannot sing.
Oh, there’s sunshine, blessed sunshine
When the peaceful happy moments roll.
When Jesus shows his smiling face,
There is sunshine in the soul.

There is springtime in my soul today,
For when the Lord is near,
The dove of peace sings in my heart,
The flow’rs of grace appear.
Oh, there’s sunshine, blessed sunshine
When the peaceful happy moments roll.
When Jesus shows his smiling face,
There is sunshine in the soul.

There is gladness in my soul today,
And hope and praise and love,
For blessings which he gives me now,
For joys “laid up” above.
Oh, there’s sunshine, blessed sunshine
When the peaceful happy moments roll.
When Jesus shows his smiling face,
There is sunshine in the soul.

Jesus Christ brings us peace and joy.

This simple but powerful message has blessed billions!

Here a couple of verses that talk of the peace of Jesus Christ!

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:26–27)

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)

As we remember the Savior and follow Him, we truly can be of good cheer. We can experience real, enduring peace at all times. We can find hope in the Savior’s first words to His disciples after His Resurrection: “Peace be unto you” (John 20:19).

How have you felt Jesus Christ bring you peace and joy?

Where do you turn for peace? This song is all about finding peace!

Where can I turn for peace?
Where is my solace,
When other sources cease to make me whole?
When with a wounded heart, anger, or malice,
I draw myself apart,
Searching my soul?

Where, when my aching grows,
Where, when I languish,
Where, in my need to know, where can I run?
Where is the quiet hand to calm my anguish?
Who, who can understand?
He, only One.

He answers privately,
Reaches my reaching
In my Gethsemane, Savior and Friend.
Gentle the peace he finds for my beseeching.
Constant he is and kind,
Love without end.

How has Jesus Christ help you gain a "new life"?

Check this out!

Jesus Christ invites us to walk in newness of life, but what does that mean?

The Apostle Paul taught, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

How can you continue to follow Jesus Christ and walk in newness of life?

13 years ago, my husband and I were traveling to Alaska for the blessing of our first great grand child. We flew on standby, and when we got to seattle, we were waiting to board the Alaska airlines in Seattle. We had waited in Seattle for a long time, so we went up and asked the ticket agent about getting another plane because the standby list was getting longer. My husband was getting frustrated and was ready to just go home. I was upset, so I went to the ladies' restroom and prayed fervently for a way to make it work, to open up a way for us to get to anchorage. I went back out to my husband and heard over the intercom for the flight number people on standby to come to the desk. No one else heard. I went up and confirmed that was what she had said. It was a miracle. The Lord had heard my prayer. I heard that announcement that no one else had heard. We made it on time, and my husband was able to give the blessing.

What prayers have been answered for you?

Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer! That calls me from a world of care And bids me at my Father’s throne Make all my wants and wishes known. In seasons of distress and grief, My soul has often found relief And oft escaped the tempter’s snare By thy return, sweet hour of prayer! And oft escaped the tempter’s snare By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer! Thy wings shall my petition bear To him whose truth and faithfulness Engage the waiting soul to bless. And since he bids me seek his face, Believe his word, and trust his grace, I’ll cast on him my ev’ry care And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer! I’ll cast on him my ev’ry care And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

This is the testimony that we give of Him, that he lives! How do you know that He lives?

I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.

He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
