Veterans Day or Remembrance Day (as it is known in the Commonwealth of Nations) is November 11 - Today on the 11th day of the 11th month, at the 11th hour we remember the armistice that ended the Great War. We also ought to pause and remember those that served and the many that have given their lives as the cost for our freedom. As we honour all those who have served during the dark days of the world wars, and other conflicts, may we also remember the One who paid the ultimate price for our freedom from sin. As our Lord Jesus said in John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends."
