We have some upcoming events that we would love for you to be a part of!

Sunday, August 30th, Fifth Sunday Potluck after church. Bring your favorite dish and join us!

Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30pm, The Youth Gathering is returning! All youth, 5th -12th grades, will begin to meet in our Fellowship Hall. There will be a short devotional followed by social time. Snacks will be provided. We have ping-pong, a Pool Table, large TV, and some adults that would love to get to know you and speak Christ into your lives!

Saturday, September 19th at 6:00pm, pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving fun, along with a hayride in our Fellowship Hall. Bring your best chili or soup and cornbread to share! Let's get together and love on our kids!

Hello Alcorn County! In the pictures we have attached, this is a set piece we used for VBS last week depicting the three men in the fiery furnace. As we are done with it we would like to offer it for free, to anyone who would want it. It is about 8 ft long and about 4 ft tall and it's not terribly heavy. Just reply to this post and let us know!

VBS - On Fire! was a complete success. 24 students and 11 adults attended and we learned about Moses and the Burning Bush from Exodus 3, the Three Hebrew Slaves in the Fiery Furnace from Daniel 3, Elijah and the Fire from Heaven from 1 Kings 18, and The Coming of the Holy Spirit and the Tongues of Fire from Acts 2. The pastor even threw in a bonus story about how, just as gold is refined by fire, God must put us through the fire to burn off our imperfections so that we may bring Him glory.

The students also enjoyed activities, fun, smiles, sugar, and genuine love as Indian Springs understands that they are our future. We all should commit to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

A huge thanks to everyone who came and all of those that helped make this an impactful day!

Aldersgate Day is celebrated on May 24 (or the Sunday closest) to commemorate the day in 1738 when John Wesley experienced assurance of his salvation. Wesley reluctantly attended a group meeting that evening on Aldersgate Street in London. As he heard a reading from Luther's Preface to the Epistle to the Romans, he felt his "heart strangely warmed." Wesley wrote in his journal that at about 8:45 p.m. "while he was describing the change which God works in the heart through faith in Christ, I felt my heart strangely warmed. I felt I did trust in Christ, Christ alone for salvation; and an assurance was given me that He had taken away my sins, even mine, and saved me from the law of sin and death."
