Maybe you don’t think of yourself as a “church person.”

That’s okay. You don’t have to know the songs, understand all the church words, own the right clothes, or have your life put together before you visit.

You can come with questions.

You can come uncertain.

You can come exactly as you are.

National Back to Church Sunday is September 20, and we would love to welcome you at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. You may discover that church isn’t only for people who seem to have everything figured out.

It is a place for ordinary, imperfect people who need Jesus. And that describes every one of us.

☀️ Good morning, friends! Happy Monday!

A new week is here, and you don’t have to carry all of it at once.

Jesus said, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.” ~ Matthew 6:34

That’s a good reminder for a Monday morning. We can get overwhelmed trying to solve Friday’s problems before Tuesday even gets here.

So today, just be faithful with today. Do the next right thing. Love the person in front of you. Handle what God has actually put in your hands, and trust Him with what hasn’t happened yet.

You don’t need grace for the whole week this morning. You need grace for today, and God is already there.

We know that “come back to church” can be complicated.

For some people, church holds warm memories of faith, family, and belonging. For others, it brings memories of being judged, overlooked, misunderstood, or hurt.

We won’t pretend churches are perfect. They aren’t. Because they are made of imperfect people.

But we still believe a healthy church family can be a place of healing, friendship, truth, grace, and genuine belonging. We believe there is something beautiful about imperfect people learning to follow a perfect Savior together.

We’re really glad you’re here with us today. Whether you’re watching from home, traveling, or just checking things out, you’re part of the service this morning.

Today, we come together as a Church family to be equipped for the good works that the Lord has set before us. This morning, we'll be looking at one of the more weird stories in the Bible - A man named Balaam and his donkey that spoke to him. Sometimes, we think that something is blocking us from getting where we want to go, and it turns out to be God's protection.

What if the thing frustrating you right now is actually something God is using to protect you?

This morning at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, we’re looking at one of the strangest stories in the Bible: Balaam’s Talking Donkey from Numbers 22.

Balaam thought the donkey was the problem. She kept stopping. She kept getting in the way. She even crushed his foot against a wall.

But Balaam couldn’t see what the donkey could see.

Sometimes God’s protection doesn’t feel like protection while it’s happening.

Sometimes it feels like a closed door. A delay. A disappointment. An obstacle you desperately want moved.

So before we start kicking the donkey, maybe we need to pray, “Lord, open my eyes. Show me what I’m not seeing.”

☀️ Good morning, friends! Happy Saturday!

Before this week disappears into the next one, take a few minutes to look back.

Not just at what you accomplished. Think about what God may have been doing in you along the way.

What drained you this week? What are you thankful for? Is there something you need to forgive, release, or stop carrying? And what do you want to take with you into the week ahead?

Psalm 90:12 says, “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”

We move through life so quickly that sometimes we never stop long enough to learn from the days God has already given us.

So before today gets busy, give yourself a few quiet minutes with God. Look back. Give thanks. Let go of what needs to stay behind. Then move forward with a little more wisdom than you had a week ago.

Someone once called us a church of misfits.

Honestly? We kind of are.

Cornerstone seems to attract people who didn’t quite fit somewhere else. People who have questions. People who have been hurt by church. People whose lives aren’t neat and tidy. People who worried they wouldn’t feel comfortable walking through the doors.

And somehow, they fit here.

We aren’t a perfect church filled with perfect people. We are simply a church family learning to follow Jesus, love one another, and make room for whoever God brings through our doors.

☀️ Good morning, friends! Happy Thankful Thursday!

Before the day gets busy, take a moment to think about something God has given you that you may have started taking for granted.

Maybe it’s your family, your health, a job, a friendship, a home, another morning, or simply the strength to keep going.

Scripture says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

That doesn’t mean every circumstance is good. It means there is still something good to thank God for in the middle of it.

So today, let’s fill the comments with gratitude. What is one thing you’re genuinely thankful for this morning?
