Let’s memorize Scripture together!

Throughout our INCREASE series, we’re inviting you to join us in memorizing 2 Corinthians 9:6–8.

As we explore what it looks like to live generously, we’re asking two questions: Am I a generous person? And what is my next step of generosity?

These verses remind us that generosity is about more than what we give. It’s about the posture of our hearts, giving joyfully, and learning to trust God more fully.

Night of Worship | Thursday, October 29 at 7 PM

Join us for a Night of Worship as we come together to spend intentional time in God’s presence!

Throughout the evening, we’ll take time to remember God’s faithfulness, rest in His presence, and respond in worship.

Whether you’re coming with a heart full of gratitude, needing encouragement, or simply looking for space to slow down and refocus, we’d love for you to join us!

Event Care is available for children, but registration is required! Visit parkview.cc/events to register for Event Care. No registration is needed for adults to attend the Night of Worship.

More Than a Marathon!

After months of training and fundraising, Parkview’s Team World Vision runners took on the Chicago Marathon on October 11!

Together, our Parkview team raised $254,188, helping provide clean water for 5,083 people!

It was amazing to see how many people showed up to support the runners. There were so many familiar Parkview faces along the course, cheering people on, handing out snacks and drinks, and encouraging runners as they passed by.

Team World Vision is about so much more than running 26.2 miles. We asked a few of our runners to share what this experience meant to them.

Thank you to everyone who supported Team World Vision through prayer, donations, cheering, and encouragement. Your support made a difference, both here and around the world!

Pride can be one of the biggest obstacles to genuinely loving others. It gets in the way of listening, showing kindness, and seeing the needs of the people around us.

Living in harmony doesn’t mean we always agree. It means approaching one another with humility and recognizing that we all need God’s mercy and grace.

What would it look like to approach our relationships with a little more humility today?

A simple prayer for today: “God, help me to be a humble, kind servant today.”

SEPTEMBER COLLECTIVE UPDATE

We’re sitting in the calm before the storm over here.

Things might look quiet, but we’re getting SO excited about everything that has launched—and everything still to come—for The Collective!

Here’s what’s been happening:

SCHOOL IMPACT
New Student Group at Jefferson
We kicked off a 4-week group at Jefferson Middle School to help students new to the area meet people, get to know Jefferson, and feel more connected.

North Pantry
We organized & stocked the pantry at North so families can access food and supplies. We’re grateful for everyone who keeps it going!

Reading Buddies!
Volunteers are helping students at Schafer with reading & math throughout the week.

The best part is that our students have a cheerleader. Someone who knows their name. Notices their progress. Champions them as they learn. That relationship matters SO much.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
Learning to Garden
We partnered with a church to teach families gardening basics. Our hope is that next summer, some families will have their own garden plots at the church!

FAMILY IMPACT
Night of Bedazzling!
We had a night of bedazzling all the things—and it was a hit. Even the kiddos joined!

Preparing for Mexican Independence Day
We made decorations & got ready to celebrate!

Mexican + Honduran Independence Day Celebration
Then we celebrated with a big family party complete with food, music, and, of course… PIÑATAS!

A New Space for Bible Study
We renovated a room at North so our Spanish Bible study has a dedicated space away from the kiddos and other groups. We’re SO excited about what it will mean for our families!

Spanish Bible Study Is Back!
We had our first study of the year, and we’re working through the book of Mark together.

Wednesday Night Kids Bible Time!
We partnered with New Hope so kiddos can have their own Bible time on Wednesdays while their moms are in Bible study. It launched this week—and it was a HIT!

So yes… things may feel like the calm before the storm.

But SO much is happening behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful for every volunteer, church, school, partner, and family who makes The Collective what it is.

We’re ready for what’s next!
