The season of Advent is here! The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, “arrival,” and refers to the coming of Christ. Each Sunday before Christmas Day, we light a candle to prepare for the birth of Christ. The four candles of Advent represent the four Sundays of Advent: hope, peace, joy, and love.
