I love the people of my faith community! ❤️

Unitarian Universalists answered the call by the hundreds, driving and flying from around the country to bear witness in the place where a federal officer shot an unarmed woman to death. They joined thousands of their fellow clergy, bundled in thick coats for protection against the bitter subzero cold.

And together, Unitarian Universalists and other people of faith marched and sang and prayed in Minneapolis on Friday, sending a powerful, unified message: that love is greater than ICE.

Our church service will not be on YouTube this week as impending weather is on its way. We will be on zoom for a meta meditation, as we all could use some loving kindness towards ourselves. Stay warm and stay safe friends!

We light these candles in memory of those who lost their lives yesterday in Australia celebrating Hanukkah. In traditional Unitarian Universalist faith we celebrate all religions and lift up those who need it most.

Greetings friends...if you remember, we voted on a Masking Policy at the end of June at our annual meeting, that we implemented with four levels of masking responses:

Green - masks are optional everywhere
Yellow - masking in sanctuary, but optional elsewhere; food/beverages are offered
Red - masking everywhere; coffee hour/food is cancelled
Full Blown pandemic - virtual services.

To date we have been in the Green Zone, but we have been monitoring CDC wastewater and the levels have risen to the point the board has agreed we will move to Yellow-level masking in the sanctuary. For those who have not been following, there is a new variant of Covid emerging that does not show up on currently available at-home covid tests. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We will be implementing sanctuary masking starting this Sunday and will closely monitor wastewater levels and keep you apprised when the status changes.
