Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 11
There are two verses that our website proposes to be definitive about the impossibility of salvation. Both of these deal with outside forces – that is forces other than ourselves. We are free moral agents. We either choose to walk in God’s ways or Satan’s ways. But neither man (Satan’s agent) or Satan can take us from God – that is our decision and ours alone.

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38
"My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." John 10:29

Joshua said it best, Josh 24:15 And if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
The Holy Spirit guided Paul as he spoke about this choice. Rom 6:16

Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you
were committed, 18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
Now if we are slaves, we must be obedient to our master. If we serve our master, he will reward us (Mt 18.32-35; Mt 24.48-51;Mt 25.30). In all of these teachings about the kingdom of God, the wicked slave – the one who failed to do his Master’s will – is punished. In addition, in all of the parables, we can easily understand that God is represented by the Master. The slaves were all the Master’s slaves and not the slaves of someone else. Thus, God is telling us clearly we must be obedient slaves or we will be punished.
". . .for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5
". . . and, lo, I am with you ALWAY, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:20
When the website declares “Jesus will NEVER leave us” we recognize this truth, however, we can leave Jesus. He will be just where he always was and is – waiting for us to come back. The website continues “Jesus promised He will never leave us. Jesus could not say this if there was even a chance of losing our salvation.” And again, the website fails to realize that although Jesus will never leave us, we can leave him – Judas did – Demas did – and we can. Notice carefully what Jesus said in these verses. He is constant – we are the variable!

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 1
Have you ever had someone tell you this about your salvation? If so, did they show it to you in the Bible? No, they didn’t. The reason is, it’s not there. Why would they say that if it’s not in the Bible? Because they think this is an easy way to say something they believe without it being in the Bible.
Where do they get this from? There are a number of verses in the Bible that they will use to show you why they think once you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation. Now we know that the Bible doesn’t contradict itself, so it’s not going to say once you are saved you cannot be lost and at the same time say that saved people can be lost. God doesn’t lie! Titus 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago.

So what does the Bible say about losing your salvation. Gal 5:2 Behold I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you. 3 And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law. 4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
It should be pointed out that the letter to the Galatians was not written to those who were in the world, but to those in the church. Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle (not sent from men, nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead), 2 and all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia: 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father. Paul says that Jesus gave Himself that He might deliver us out of this present evil age. That is, both Paul and those with him had been saved. We find that they had been called by the grace of Christ. Gal 1:6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7
which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

It’s important to settle on their calling by Christ’s grace and their deliverance from evil. The reason for that is when we look at Gal 5.3 above, we find that some of them wanted to go back to the Law of Moses and the circumcision that Paul was teaching about in Gal 5. Notice what happened to those who wanted to bind circumcision on these Christians – both Jews and Gentiles. They were severed from Christ.
Now let’s be certain of one thing and that is if you are not attached to something, you cannot be severed from it. To sever means to “cut off.” You can’t cut something off unless it’s attached. If you are not a part of Christ, you can’t be severed from Christ – you were never in Christ. But these people who had been called by the grace of Christ, were not told that if they distorted the gospel of Christ, they were severed from Christ. Now that’s what the Bible says and it’s not something I made up. They were saved and now they are severed from Christ.
In fact, as Paul goes on to say, you have fallen from grace. Now can you fall from a position that you don’t hold? That is, can you fall from grace if you are not in grace? Of course not! And if the Bible says that you can fall from grace, why would anyone, other than an unbeliever (an infidel, an agnostic, an atheist), want to disagree with what the Bible says. A believer recognizes that when God says it, that settles it – whether you believe it or not.
Why the argument about whether one can fall from grace? Someone is teaching a doctrine they made up because it certainly didn’t come from God. God tells us plainly that we can fall – you have fallen from grace (Gal 5.4). We must have an obedient faith to be saved.

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 2
The most commonly used passage to show that once you have been saved, you cannot be lost is Rom 8:38-39. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The only thing that will separate us from the love of God is ourselves. We can walk off from it. We can refuse it in the first place.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. There are only a few people who misunderstand this verse so badly that they believe that “everyone” will be saved no matter what they do. When you take a collection of the most evil people of our time, Hi**er, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Josef Stalin, how many people think they are all going to heaven. Did Jesus give His life for them? Surely He did. What if they had turned from their evil to an obedient life in Christ, would they be saved? Surely they would. What’s the difference? They didn’t believe, so they wouldn’t obey.
What about the child of God who turns from following Jesus to following Satan? Folks who believe the “once saved, always saved” doctrine have to say that if Hi**er believed in Jesus as a child he would be saved. The general answer given to me in many conversations about this is, “He didn’t really believe or he wouldn’t have acted that way.”
1 John 1:5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. This passage clearly tells us that if we do not “practice” righteousness, that is have an obedient belief, we do not share (fellowship) with God. Only those who “practice righteousness” walk with God. We all know people who have turned to God for a short time and then have fallen away.
When you say that these people really don’t believe, you are saying they don’t have a commitment – an obedient faith. Consider people who marry but don’t have a long term commitment – they’re still married although at the first sign of trouble they will forsake that commitment. Just so, people who believe in Jesus may not continue in that belief when troubles come their way. 1 Peter 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Satan already has those who are not believers – the ones in the world. He’s looking for weak Christians – those who are saved – in the body of Christ, his Church – who can be deceived into falling away.

To say that once you are saved, you are always saved denies 1 Pet 5.8 completely. Satan is not the adversary of the unsaved but of the saved. Only those who are saved will be devoured by Satan. By the way, Satan is our adversary in a spiritual war (Eph 6.12) for our souls, not a physical war in which we might suffer death.

We must have an obedient faith to be saved, but if we fail to continue in obedience, we will be lost.

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 3
Jesus told parables about his coming kingdom – the church. Parables are easily understood things that have a spiritual meaning. Jesus’ disciples often didn’t understand the principle behind the story and on the parable of the Sower, they asked for an explanation. Jesus gave them one and it applies to our study.

Luke 8:12-15 "And those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they may not believe and be saved. "And those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away. "And the seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. "And the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.
Can you identify people you know with this parable? I think we all can.
It tells us that some people just won’t believe – so that they may not believe and be saved. It also tells that some will believe for a while. What happens when they stop believing? Did Jesus say they never did really believe? Read the passage again, Jesus said they believe for a while. Now if Jesus said they quit believing, who am I – or you – to argue with Him. Jesus is Lord and I must hear what He says and believe it.

Who were the ones who would be saved? Jesus said, then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they may not believe and be saved. Only those who believe can be saved and that means that if they stop believing they will not be saved! They are lost! They are saved for a while, but they fell away and now they are lost. Some of those who are lost have no firm root. Some are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. As a result those who were once saved are now lost.

We need to ask questions about our beliefs to be sure that they are in keeping with the will of God – and that we are not lost as a result of our denial of Jesus and His word. Some might say that these folks really didn’t believe but Jesus said they did. Jesus even said they believed for a while. Some folks might say that this contradicts other clear passages in the Bible and thus accuse God of being the author of confusion and of lies.
Let’s go back to Rom 8.32 and ask who in the parable separated them from God. Did death, life, angels, principalities, things present, things to come, powers, height, depth, or any other created thing, separate them from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord? We find the answer is that those who received the word without having a continuing, obedient faith did not continue to believe and were thus lost.

We might ask if a plant like these died physically, what is the spiritual lesson of the parable? We all die physically, even plants that are in good soil. So that can’t be the answer. Our answer must be spiritually – a plant springs up and then because it has no firm root or the cares and worries of the world attack and the plant gives up and dies. So children of God, born again believers, often spring up and then give up and return to the world. They were saved but their lack of committed faith causes them to return their soul and service to Satan. They do it willingly. They are not hauled away from the Lord kicking, screaming and protesting. They just quietly wither and die because of their lack of love for the Lord.
We must have an obedient faith to be saved, but if we fail to continue in obedience, we will be lost.

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 4

As we continue our thoughts about this subject, let’s examine Heb 6:4-8. For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God, and put Him to open shame. 7 For ground that drinks the rain which often falls upon it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; 8 but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned.
We should ask what it means to be partakers of the Holy Spirit. Can we share with the Holy Spirit and not be obedient to Him? What about those who have tasted the good word of God? They know what it’s like – they have believed this word. After all God says they have once been enlightened. When you are enlightened, you have been taken out of darkness and brought into light. Remember 1 John 1:5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. If they have been enlightened, they have had fellowship with God – they walk in the light!
What is the heavenly gift of which they had tasted? What is God’s gift to man? Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. The gift of
God is our salvation. These Hebrew brethren had tasted the heavenly gift. What is someone says, “Yes, they tasted it but they didn’t have it.” Can you taste anything and not take it in. God does not say they “smelled it.” He says they tasted it! You have to take something in to taste it. Unless you spit it out, it’s in you.

And you must spit it out without tasting because it you taste it that taste, whether sweet or sour, will remain in your mouth. Can we inherit just a little bit of our salvation? If so can we lose a little bit of our salvation?

God doesn’t work that way. We either walk in the light or in darkness. 1 John 1:5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. Jesus told his disciples, "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (Luke 16:13) You are either all the way in or all the way out and these Hebrew brethren were in – they had tasted the heavenly gift!

One man told me that these people would be die physically, but they were never really saved. Examine the questions in this lesson carefully. What did Jesus come to save us from? The Bible answers that question. Matt 1:21 "And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins." If Jesus came to save us from our sins, that is a spiritual salvation – not a physical salvation. Just like these Hebrew brethren, we must continue in our obedient faith to be saved, but if we fail to continue in obedience, we will be lost. We will fall from grace!

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 5
Rom 11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in." 20 Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you. 22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

If you grew up around an orchard, you may know all about grafting. When you have a root stock that is resistant to disease, you can graft in a branch that will produce a very special kind of fruit. Larger, tastier or more productive than the wild stock, which normally grows on the very strong root, the fruit that is grafted on is special.
as Paul told the Galatian brethren, we too can be cut off (Gal 5.4), severed from Christ.

Someone might complain that they believe that God is speaking about the Gentiles as a whole and not as individuals. Let me remind you that we all stand on our own deeds and not those of others. 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Each of us will be judged fairly. If we continue in righteousness, we will share an eternal home with God. 1 John 1:5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

Not one of us will be saved by the righteous deeds of other men. Jesus is the only sacrifice we need and no other sacrifice will pay the debt. Heb 10:10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God. The righteous acts of Saints will not save us – the blood of Jesus Christ alone saves us! We cannot pray our way into salvation! Prayers offered to Mary or the Saints of old will not save us – we are saved only by the blood of Christ. But if after walking with God, we turn to walk in darkness, we will be cut off, severed from Christ, fallen from the estate in which we once lived to hear him say, “depart from me, God speaks through Paul to describe the addition of the Gentiles in just that way. With the problems in the church at Rome, Paul has really been hard on the Jews. At the same time, Christianity came only through the Jews. They were the chosen people of Israel. The fact that God has allowed Gentiles into the church is a blessing promised long ago to Abraham. But we must not think that just because God has brought us into His kingdom, we cannot be taken out. ye that work iniquity.” (Matt 7:23) God cut off the Jews – the "Branches were broken off. But God can cut off the Gentiles as well if we do not continue in His kindness.

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 7
The website obtained by searching the above phrase (see part 6) goes on to say, “Salvation is a FREE GIFT”. Then the website makes the observation, “Salvation is the free gift of God. If we had to work to keep it —— it would not be a free gift —— and God would be a liar!” To illustrate the fallacy of this argument, we could point out that belief itself is a work (Jn 6.28-29) and if a free gift demands no work, belief could not be required. Certain qualifications may be laid down for a “free gift.” For instance, for some scholarships to college, the student must have a 4.0 average in High School. That scholarship is still free, even if you have to qualify. If I offer to give all of my children a free car, you don’t qualify unless you are one of my children. Many of you have done that for your children and you know they didn’t “work” for it. If they work for it, they have to pay the full price themselves. If you give it to them because they are your children, it’s free!

The website uses two verses to illustrate the gift of God’s son which results in our salvation: “‘. . . the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.’ Romans 6:23; ‘. . .by the righteousness of one THE FREE GIFT came upon all men unto justification of life.’ Romans 5:18" Now even those who constructed the website don’t believe that everyone gets the “free gift.” They know that you have to believe and we have previously shown that Jesus said that belief is a work (Jn 6.28-29). Will God save everyone? He is willing to! What stops Him from excusing everyone of their sins? They must repent or they will not be saved. Luke 13:1 Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And He answered and said to them,
"Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered this fate? 3 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 "Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? 5 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." If you don’t have to change your life to obtain salvation, the demons will be saved (Ja 2.19) and we know that’s not happening. They will have their part in the lake of fire, Rev 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 1 Jn 3:8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Our work, even the work commanded by God does not purchase our salvation. It was the gift of God’s son on the cross that purchased our salvation. Heb 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. 14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. That gift is available to all who believe that Jesus is the Christ, but there are qualifications to get the gift as well as to keep the gift. 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 9
As we pointed out last week, our friend’s erroneous website continues, “Salvation is not enduring or a process, but an event in time. Salvation is a NEW BIRTH. Just as your first birth happened on a certain time and day, so does the second birth.” There are three passages we need to deal with in this point – "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a TIME accepted, and in THE DAY OF SALVATION have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted TIME; behold, now is THE DAY OF SALVATION.)" 2 Cor 6:2 ; "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Jn 3:3; "Being BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." 1 Peter 1:23

Our salvation occurs when we come in contact with the blood of Christ – at the time of our baptism. Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. When we are baptized, we rise to walk in newness of life – the new birth of which Jesus told Nicodemas. John 3:3 "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God... 5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. At that point, we are forgiven from our sins – all those past. But not all those we may commit later, as we studied last week from Heb 5.12-6.12, 1 Jn 1.7 and Rev 2.10.

When we are born again we are new creatures, thus the statement in Rom 6.3-4 that our sins are washed away in baptism. Once we have
been baptized, we find that we have been put into Christ. Paul repeats that at Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. These are the two passages that tell us how to get into Christ. The Galatian brethren were all sons of God. The reason is that “through faith in Christ,” they were all “baptized into Christ.”

How does a child of God – one who is in Christ – have remission of those sins he commits after having been saved? 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Just because you are a child of God does not mean that you do not sin. We have children in the flesh and they often go against what we have told them to do. They are still our children, but we know that if they don’t straighten up, we will have to disown them. Jesus told the multitudes of the Jews that they had to repent. They were in a covenant relationship with God – His children – but if they didn’t repent and follow it up with works appropriate to repentance, they would be lost. Luke 13:1 Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And He answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered this fate? 3 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 "Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? 5 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

Once Saved, Always Saved? Part 10

The website on this subject now gets some things correct, although we will see that their idea of how to become a child of God is incorrect. As we studied last week, they say that this occurs on belief. We showed from Rom 6.3-4 and Gal 3.26-27 that we become children of God when we are baptized. When we believe, we have the right to be baptized, John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. When we receive Jesus into our hearts we are not children of God, but we do have the right to become children of God. Philip taught the Eu**ch this very thing – Acts 8:36 And as they went along the road they came to some water; and the eu**ch said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?" 37[And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."] 38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eu**ch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eu**ch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip’s job was not done until he had baptized the eu**ch. Once Philip’s job was done, the eu**ch could rejoice – his sins had been forgiven and he was a child of God.

This is important for the website is correct on what the “new birth” does for you – “You become a CHILD OF GOD Once you are born again SPIRITUALLY– you become a child of God. "Beloved, NOW are we the SONS OF GOD, . . ." 1 John 3:2 "For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of ADOPTION, whereby we cry, Abba, FATHER." Romans 8:15

Unfortunately, just as soon as the website gets something right, it goes wrong again. Under the heading “Nothing can SEPARATE us from our Father,” the author forgets about sin. Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have
hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear. Just as sin separated the children of God from Him in the Old Testament, the same is true today in the New Covenant Rev 3:4 'But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white; for they are worthy. 5'He who overcomes shall thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels. Jesus had just told the church – those belonging to Christ – in Sardis that they had to repent or they would have their names erased from the book of life – they would be cast into hell Rev 20.15.

The website is correct when it says, “Just as nothing can ‘negate’ your physical birth, nothing can ‘negate’ your spiritual birth. My children will always be my children. We may have troubled times. Our fellowship may be broken, but our relationship can never be broken. They will always be my children. Nothing or nobody can change that! And once you are born again spiritually – God becomes your Father – nothing or nobody can change that! Your fellowship may be broken, but your relationship can never be broken!”
While our website is correct and the relationship will never be broken, the joint sharing (fellowship) you have with God can be broken and you will have no part with Him, for light has no part with darkness. 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. It is only when we walk in the light that we have fellowship with God and the blood of His Son cleanses us!
