The celebration continued following our powerful worship service with a wonderful reception filled with delicious food, warm fellowship, and joyful memories.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our special guests who traveled from Ohio, as well as family and friends who came from near and far to celebrate this milestone occasion.

A sincere thank you to the catering team for the outstanding meal, the decorating committee for creating a beautiful atmosphere, and to everyone who helped make this celebration so special.

Special thanks to the Pastoral Ministry for their exceptional planning, dedication, and hard work throughout all three days of events, last week honoring our Pastor’s 30th Pastoral Anniversary.
Your efforts helped make this celebration a truly memorable and blessed experience.

What a Blessed Celebration! 🙌🏽🎉

On behalf of the Mount Olive Baptist Church family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us in celebrating Rev. Darryl G. Thompson’s 30th Pastoral Anniversary on yesterday.

Thank you to our special guests, members, family, friends, and community supporters for helping make this milestone occasion so meaningful and memorable. Your presence, prayers, kind words, expressions of love, and generous support were truly appreciated.

A special thank you to our guest preacher, Dr. C. Dexter Wise, III, for delivering a powerful and inspiring message, and to Antwaun Cooks for blessing us through music and worship.

This is an old picture but I was blessed to join Mount Olive Baptist Church-Glen Allen today to celebrate Pastor Thompson and his family’s 30th pastoral anniversary! Pastor Thompson is an anchor in the Glen Allen community! Mount Olive has five core values but I want to shout out the first one, radical hospitality, because that is what they show everyone who goes through their doors. Our hearts are full after an incredible Sound of Celebration! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a powerful evening of worship, fellowship, and encouragement.

A special thank you to Kelontae Gavin and Will Johnson for sharing their gifts and helping create an atmosphere where God was truly glorified.

We are grateful for every attendee, musician, and supporter who made this event a success. The praise was uplifting, the fellowship was meaningful, and the presence of God was undeniable.

As we reflect on this amazing evening, we are excited to continue the celebration of our Pastor and First Family, Rev. Darryl G. Thompson and Lady Shuryl Thompson, 30th Pastoral Anniversary tomorrow Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
