Today we'd like to introduce Rev. Yoonsik Lee, pastor of Amissville United Methodist Church. He says, "I married Grace whom I met in India. Both of us were single missionaries at that time. We have one son who is a youth pastor at Trinity UMC in Dallas, Texas."

He is excited about making small groups based on several themes in the church and is passionate about evangelism "I am visiting church members' homes and trying to be a chaplain of the Sheriff office of the county."

His very first job was working at the Korean Embassy to India. He likes road trips and camping and adds, "I travelled LA to Dallas and Dallas to Virginia moving my residences with a U-Haul truck."

Three Notch'd District, meet Rev. Bert Cloud, pastor of River Road UMC. Bert is married to yesterday's new clergy introduction (Rev. Gina Anderson-Cloud). Bert is excited about building relationships and discovering places of joy and possibility and is passionate about caring for souls.

Some fun facts: his first job was as a DJ at a radio station in his home town and he loves photography, hiking, and a great bowl of soup. He adds, "I used to be a school psychologist and a Baptist, but now I am a happy UM pastor. I met Gina in a Rat Lab."

Today we'd like to introduce you to Rev. Gina Anderson-Cloud, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church Richmond VA. Gina is excited about getting to know the community and people of Trinity, as well as discovering the greater Richmond area and is looking forward to where God's Spirit is hovering both in the Church and community. She is passionate about connections - connecting people to one another and to a loving God and seeing that love transform their lives and also our world.

Gina's first job was as a cashier at Wendy's and she loves "being an all-in sports parent, which is coming to a close as this is our youngest daughter's last year of playing college basketball."

Gina is married to Rev. Bert Cloud serving River Road UMC -- you will 'meet' him tomorrow! They are the proud parents of three awesome young adults - Trae, Danielle, and Kayana.

Today's new clergy introduction isn't new to our district, but has taken on an additional appointment this year. Rev. Bayo Ogungbade serves as an associate pastor at Reveille UMC and as the pastor of Central United Methodist Church - RVA .

Bayo is a new father who is excited about "the opportunity to journey alongside others - young, old, church experienced, church curious, etc." When asked about his passion for ministry he answered, "I have a deep passion for helping people grow in their faith and discover God’s purpose for their lives. I’ve centered my ministry around discipleship, innovative approaches to ministry, and journeying with people as they discover new ways to live out their faith. I also care greatly about investing in youth and young adults, and I currently serve as the founder and leader of Vibrant Life, a growing midweek young adult community here in the city of Richmond."

Some fun facts: his first job was as a party host at Skyzone Indoor Trampoline Parl, and he's a proud RVA Foodie. He says, "Ask me about any genre of food in the RVA Foodie Scene, and I'll be happy to hook you up with some recommendations! I'll also be happy to join you - anywhere, anytime! :)"

Today's introduction isn't new to our district, but did begin a new appointment in July.
Rev. Michael Kendall is now serving Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church Midlothian, VA. Michael says, "I have been blessed by the core group I have met already, and I am eager to know our wider congregation and community." His is passionate about helping people imagine God's creative possibilities in ministry, to tap their excitement and energies, and see meaningful relationships emerge.

Fun Fact: His first jobs were as a lifeguard, for Boy Scout Camp, a local community pool, and for Water Country USA.

Rev. Yun Goo Kang, pastor of Stanardsville United Methodist Church now also pastors Mountain View UMC. He is "eager to connect with each member of Mountain View UMC because their stories reveal their personal worlds, journeys, and relationships with God."

Yun lives with his wife who works as a data coordinator in medical research. His son is a college junior, and his daughter is a high school junior. His mother-in-law also lives with him. he notes: "We all share a curiosity about different kinds of food and enjoy exploring them together."

His ministry passions include leading Bible studies that inspire people's passion and love for God and encouraging them to serve both God and their neighbors.

Fun Facts: his very first job was a part-time position in pest control as a senior in high school. He's played tennis for 25 years -- "I'm currently unable to play because of tennis elbow. Instead, I focus on collecting and repairing fountain pens and assembling watches for fun."

Three Notch'd District -- Meet Ms. Katie Frooman. Katie is a Certified Lay Minister serving Bethel, Westover United Methodist Church, and Bethsaida United Methodist Church Brightwood Va. She describes her family as "a little wild" as it includes a son and daughter, a dog, two geckos, 13 chickens and 13 baby chicks - and soon a cat!

Katie is excited to see her three churches work together to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their community. When asked about her ministry passion she said, "Jesus calls us to love God and love our neighbor, I'm most passionate about the relationships we build with each other and our neighbors through our love of God."

Some fun facts: her first job was at a combination Pretzel Time/TCBY making pretzels. She used to SCUBA dive and had an Advanced Open Water certification.

Today we'd like to introduce you to two familiar faces. As of July 1, Larry's appointment is to Belmont United Methodist Church. Larry is married to Three Notch'd District Executive Administrator, MaryKaye, and they have three grown children and one grandson.

When asked about his excitement and ministry passions, Larry said, "I am looking forward to seeing what God will do in the lives of the people of Belmont UMC and surrounding community. God is at work in our food pantry and clothing closet. I love to be in ministry with the multi-ethic church at Belmont. I also love to be in ministry with those who are living on the margins with the prayer that people will come to know Jesus. Our work with the Racial Justice Network has been inspiring."

Some fun facts: His first job was delivering newspapers at age 11 and he has served on 23 UMVIM mission teams to Cuba since 1998.
