We are blessed that our church provides a place for people of all ages to share their passion, to be part of our beloved community and to serve with love. During Justice Sunday worship, we enjoyed hearing from our guest preacher, Area Conference Minister Leslie Jackson (of the South Central Region of SNEUCC)! ⛪ AND we met therapy dogs and owners from Tails of Joy, who definitely brought us joy during the Children's Message and Church School! 🐕 Thank you to our Mental Health Ministry Team for organizing the visit and a Micah Moment!

First Church members and friends had a chance to see behind the scenes recently on a tour of the Connecticut Foodshare warehouse in Wallingford! They learned about where the food comes from and how it's sorted and distributed. Stop by and smell the flowers on June 6 + June 27 at our Garden Tour fundraiser 🌼🌺 for next year’s Intergenerational Mission Trip to Back Bay Mission. Drop by on either or both Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Laudone home (168 Belltown Road, S. Glastonbury) for this year’s garden tour. Take advantage of both dates to witness their garden’s beauty and growth over time. You can donate by cash or check at the Garden Tour or drop off donations at the church office. Checks should be made out to "First Church" with "Garden Tour" in the note.

Our Season of Celebration continues with Justice Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Meetinghouse and online. Rev. Leslie Jackson is our Area Conference Minister and guest preacher. Our Mental Health Ministry Team will spotlight Mental Health Awareness Month with several therapy dogs and their handlers sharing their comfort and love during the Children's Message and in our Church School classrooms! We have our Justice Fair and cake after worship, as well as a Micah Moment about therapy dogs. Join us!

This Sunday we will celebrate Pentecost, the birthday of the church universal. God sent a heart-stirring and soul-challenging Spirit to galvanize those earliest followers of the itinerant teacher, Jesus, and the Spirit moved them to form a community of radical love. Just like the disciples before us, we are bound together by this Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes to stitch us together in our uniqueness and shape us into a community that sings, serves and grows together.
