Glasgow First United Methodist Church Youth Group This page is to help everyone keep up with all things happening with the Glasgow First UMC Youth! SERVICE
We are an outward ministry.

Glasgow FUMC Youth Group is a place where students can come and navigate through the moral maze of 6th through 12th grade with the guidance of experienced God fearing adults. We know that life is tough for these students and that a lot changes during the “teenage” years. So we are here to show the love of Jesus through three main areas. FELLOWSHIP
Basketball, table tennis, pool, meals, snow tubing

trips, theme park trips, just about anything the students are willing to do the adults of First UMC Youth are open to doing. The goal through these opportunities is to allow the students a chance to be have fun and connect with each other through many different activities. Not just focused on ourselves and our needs, but rather on others in both our church and our community. We know that we are placed here to leave a positive mark on our area for the name of Jesus. WORSHIP
Worship may be third on this list but it is the MOST important aspect of our Youth Group. Yes we know it’s not just the songs we sing, but the life we live. Worship really encompasses both fellowship and service. In everything we do we want people to see the love of God, not us.

We wrapped up the school year with games in the back yard this evening! Water poured, alliances were formed and broken, and glitter rained from the sky! Thanks to John and Resa Gardner for providing our meal and BIG thanks to Jim and Sherry Wesley for helping set up and clean up.

Tonight we finally got to deliver books to the Boys and Girls Club! Thanks to Laura Johnson for helping us with this project and for reminding us that God uses us in ways we might not even realize. Thank you also to Laura Bale and Courtney Benefield for providing our meal and to the Boys and Girls Club for letting us partner with them!

We had a small group tonight and talked about what influences our decisions - friends, social media, parents, extracurriculars. God wants to be our ultimate influencer, but in order for that to happen, we have to let him by making decisions that set us up to hear from him every day.
