Senior Recognition Sunday!
Chelsea Amour addressed the Graduates:
“Today we have the privilege of recognizing a group of young men and women who are reaching an important milestone in life — graduation. Today, we celebrate your hard work, your achievements, and the bright future God has planned for you. Some of you are heading to college or graduate school, some will head into the workforce, and others are still discovering exactly where God is leading. But no matter where life takes you, our prayer is that you will never forget whose you are— a child of God. The world will offer many voices telling you what success looks like, but Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Graduates, your greatest accomplishment in life will never be a diploma, a degree, a title, or a paycheck. Your greatest calling is to walk faithfully with Christ and reflect His love wherever you go. There will be moments ahead when life feels uncertain. There may be challenges, disappointments, or seasons of life when you question the path before you. In those moments, remember the words of Proverbs 3:5–6:“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” No matter where your path leads you, please remember that you always have a church family here cheering you on, and you can always come back home.”
