Join us this Wednesday for Worship On Wednesday for kids from 5:30-7 for kids 4-18 in the Christian Life Center at First Methodist Church Gladewater, 217 W Quitman. We offer a meal, fun time in the gym and Bible study. Bring a friend and join your friends as we give God the Glory.

We want growth on a schedule. Finish the study, read the book, and arrive.

The Twelve walked with Jesus for about three years. On the night He was betrayed, they were still arguing over which of them was the greatest (Luke 22:24). He didn't give up on them. He kept teaching, correcting, and loving.

Maturity isn't a course we complete. It's a relationship God deepens over time, and He is patient with the process: "he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6).

Ask an older believer at your church whether you could meet once a month and open the Bible together. Then see what God does with a year of faithful conversations.

Prayer: Lord, in these days before we gather to worship you, help us prepare our hearts that our time of worship will be all for you and all about you. And then let our lives reflect our time of worship. Guard and protect us so that we will come into your presence with an assurance of faith, a joyful heart and awe of your majesty.
