Come join our kids and youth on this Wednesday evening @ First Methodist Church Gladewater in the Christian Life Center (208 Quitman) from 5:30 to 7 as they Celebrate the end of the school year with a Silent Disco! This is so much fun! In a party atmosphere, put on your head phones, select your songs, and then enjoy the fun as everybody is listening to something different but they can't hear what you're hearing, so dance and sing out loud and find people who are listening to what you are and join in the fun together. Silent Disco!

A Prayer When Sickness Spreads

God Our Refuge, bring under the shadow of Your wings those who have lost loved ones to this disease. Be a refuge, a fortress, a friend for the sick who have been quarantined, separated from their support systems. Give doctors and public health officials skill for healing, communication, and containment. Bless the work of scientists and biomedical engineers racing to find new methods of protection. And shower the public with steadying grace—healing, protecting, and renewing the world through Your Word by the power of Your Spirit.

God Who Holds Us Fast in Love, fortify Your people to walk in faith and wisdom, compelled by neighbor love to serve the sick instead of cowering in fear. Imitating the compassionate, healing care of Jesus, give us courage to move toward the weak and dying, confident that God has already delivered us from the power of our most chronic and ruinous disease—and from death itself. Amen.

The HUGE CHURCH GARAGE SALE at First Methodist Church Gladewater (208 Quitman) is coming up on Friday June 5th from 9AM-4PM and Saturday June 6th from 9AM-3PM. You got to see it to believe it! Best deals around as we help send our Mini Methodists to church camp this summer. We are accepting donations as well, you can drop those off at the Christian Life Center from 9AM-3PM, Monday - Thursday, June 1-4. PLEASE: NO clothing, shoes, or bedding. AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!! Come hungry because we will also have baked potatoes for sale! Come one come all and bring the neighborhood with you. SEE YOU THERE!!!

This Tuesday, May 26th, Dean Hanssen, our ministry leader, will be sharing his testimony at Celebrate Recovery Gladewater, located at First Methodist Church, Gladewater, Tx., 217 W. Quitman, Gladewater. We offer a meal at 6 PM, this week is catered by Golden Chick of Longview and Mineola. Then at 6:45 the excitement begins with Large Group Worship and singing, Dean's live testimony, and it's the last meeting of the month so it's also Celebration Chip Night with the presentation of chips for months and years of recovery in all areas, and there's a drawing for some great prizes! All of this is followed by men's small group and women's small group. Childcare is available so come as you are and leave changed forever through Jesus Christ and we will all Celebrate our Recovery together. Proverbs 20: 27, "The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, searching out his inmost being."
