Dear Families,
Summer is finally here, and we are so excited to get our play group started! Our big goal this year is to accommodate as many families as possible so we can all connect and have fun together.
To help us build the perfect schedule for everyone, please take a moment to complete our planning survey. The sooner we gather everyone's details, the sooner we can finalize the calendar and get the fun started!
Thank you so much for your help in making this a wonderful season.
Happy Summer!
Sister Freeman-Sumpman

Hi All,

Sunday, April 19th from 3-4:30pm, our YM and YW are going to have a missionary themed activity and we need your help. If you served a mission at anytime and anywhere in the world, including service missions, and would like to share some experiences, items, foods, pictures with our youth, we would love to hear from you! We will contact you once we get a list of willing members to confirm with you our needs.

Here is what it will look like. Each person will set up a small table or area that has things from their missions whether that is items, pictures, foods (always a huge hit with the youth!) or just your stories. The youth will rotate through 4 stations. You will not present to all the youth but just 4 smaller groups. At your station, you will have 8 minutes (yes, we need to stay on time) to share things like:

Who you are and where did you serve?

What did you take away from your mission?

How has your mission helped you in your life?

A story--spiritual, funny or lesson learned.

What was a hard moment and how did you get through it?

What surprised you the most on your mission?

What advice would you give youth who are preparing or thinking about a mission now?

Why was your mission worth it?

What was a culture shock for you in your mission?

What were interesting things about the place you went?

What did you love about the people you taught and interacted with?

These are just some ideas but keep in mind 8 minutes will go pretty fast. After you present 4 different times to 4 different groups, everyone will have free time to stop by and see any other tables that they didn't get a presentation at. This will be a quick stop to see whats on your tables, things from your mission or to try some food. We appreciate if you can do food but it will be for about 70 youth so it will just be bite size portions and if that is too much, food is definitely not required. This is meant to be a fun activity to see many different experiences and how the gospel is shared as missionaries.

We will need this form submitted no later than April 12th. Again, we will contact you once we get a list of volunteers.

Best,

ontinue your Easter season celebration by attending an interfaith performance of Rob Gardner's Lamb of God. Lamb of God is a sacred Easter oratorio composed by Rob Gardner that tells the final week of the life of Jesus Christ, from His triumphal entry into Jerusalem through His Resurrection. Written for choir, orchestra, and soloists portraying individuals such as Peter, John, Mary, Martha, and Mary Magdalene, the work presents the Passion narrative through deeply personal perspectives. Combining classical oratorio structure with contemporary melodic writing, Lamb of God invites audiences to reflect spiritually on Christ’s Atonement and Resurrection in a powerful and reverent concert experience.

Join us and invite your friends for one of three performances presented by the Kirtland Heritage Group. This production is not sponsored by the Kirtland Stake or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
