It has been quite a week. Bro Loyd is recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor and is currently at Gladewater for rehab. Friday we attended a memorial service for Mary Lewis, who taught at Jacksonville College for several years. Early Sunday morning we received word that Johnnie's brother, Al Springer was in the hospital at Good Shepherd and not expected to make it through the night. He would go home to be with the Lord around midnight Sunday.
In all that may come our way, we are reminded that God is always with us. His presence gives us peace, comfort and strength.

As we approach the Christmas season, we are reminded that Christ is the greatest gift of all. It is my prayer that you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

What a blessing to be in the Lord's house. We had a baptismal service at the beginning and dinner in the fellowship hall afterwards. Paul says, "in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

We interact with people every day in John 12 we see Jesus with several different groups. Our interaction with the people we meet on a daily basis are opportunities to share the message and love of Jesus. Sermon for November 10.

Sunday evening October 6th at 6:00 p.m. our church will be hosting Prashant and Golda Prakash, missionaries in India. They are passionate about the work that has been established in India through our BMA missions. They are involved in church planting, training young men and women, Christian schools providing education, outreach ministry and children's home for the under privileged.
I hope that you will make plans to be in our evening service to learn about this ministry and how you might become involved in their ministry in India.

It was a wonderful morning to enjoy the air-conditioning and the fellowship of fellow believers. This morning we finished John 8 in our study of John and are reminded of the many who are self-deluded into thinking they are alright with God when like the Samaritan woman they do not know what they worship.

We recognized our students this morning in our service and had special prayer for them as they begin a new school year. We pray that God will protect and use our students for His honor and glory.
