A verse that has been on my mind lately:

"When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose." Acts 11:23 (ESV).

I am working on content about peace. I am working on being consistent, even when there set backs and details.

I have been praying over creating a more consistent platform for my editing services and for sharing my writing. I asked myself why I am I doing this? This has not been easy.

I am offering editing services and my writing to help other Christians remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose.

If you are a Christain writer answering the call to write or a Christian who is looking for encouragement to keep going, Elk Creek Content is here to support you. I don't have this all figured out yet, but we can encourage each other as we walk through this life with Jesus.

After 3 years, I have finally found my brand and marketing colors!

I was working on designing my upcoming devotional on peace and found this color scheme. I fell in love with it right away!
😍
I love how it has blue and green; two of my favorite colors. I surprised I liked the yellow. I don't normally like yellow, red or orange.

Isaiah 43:1-2 (ESV)

"But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
'Fear not, for I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."

We can find peace and comfort because God is present with us in all circumstances. I used to think that because things were difficult or painful that God was not present or providing. That is not true.

God part the Red Sea so the Israelites would not be overtaken by their enemies.

God part the Jordan River so the Israelitrs could cross into the promised land.

God rescued Shadrach, Meshack and Abedengo from the fiery furnace.

This is the God we serve and worship. This is the God created us. This is the God who saves us from sin.

I want to invite you to join me in a challenge. The next time things are difficult or scary, Remember the things God has done. Focus on those things. Look for God's provision and present in all circumstances.

I have been a journey to discover what peace means in a biblical context. If you have experiencing fear, grief, difficulties, please join me in my upcoming exploration of biblical peace. I am not perfect at this yet. I still freak out, but little by little, God calls and draws me closer to Him.

Here's a verse to think about this week. I normally post these on Mondays. That didn't workout for me this week. Grace allows me to do things when they do work instead of getting down on myself because things did not go as planned.

I am learning to do things even if. When I do things "even if," that allows Christ's strength and power to be complete in me. It allows Christ's power to rest upon me. I am not doing things through will power but through the power of Christ. I am allowing Jesus to lead and direct me as I discover what it is that He has for me to do. This is replacing my idea that I have to make all kinds of to-do lists and checklists to perform perfectly. I would rather be genuine than "perfect." Jesus gives me the strength and power to function within the boundaries of who He called me to be. That is enough; it is complete . . . whole.

The memory verse for this week comes from Psalm 30:2. I have mentioned previously that I went through a rough couple of years, from 2023 to 2025. This verse has helped me to keep my perspective set on God instead of on becoming a victim of my circumstances. God has healed me. I pray often that I will behave like a healed person.
