On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember the courageous Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their bravery and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy today and entrusted future generations with the responsibility to protect them.

As Catholics and patriots, we believe love of country is shown not only through words, but through how we care for one another, defend the dignity of every person, and uphold the values of faith, charity, unity, and patriotism in our communities. May we never take lightly the freedoms protected by those who gave everything for this nation.

Today, may we honor their memory by choosing respect over hatred, service over selfishness, and courage over indifference.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

We proudly stand with our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, in his call for peace and compassion.

As Knights of Columbus, we live out Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, not just in words, but in action.

Vivat Jesus.

He is risen, and with Him, the promise that light overcomes darkness.

Easter reminds us that love is stronger than hate, mercy is greater than vengeance, and peace is always worth choosing, even when the world feels loud with the opposite.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

May we carry that spirit forward today and every day.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and meaningful Easter.

We’re proud to share that our council has received the Illinois In Action Silver Award from the Illinois State Council Knights of Columbus!

This recognition reflects the many hours of service, fundraising, and outreach our members dedicate to supporting our community, especially those most in need. From charitable drives to hands-on service projects, this award belongs to every Knight and every supporter who helps us live out our mission of faith, charity, unity, and fraternity.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, serve faithfully, and help us make a real difference. We’re honored to do this work together.

“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:40
