CAST Ministries CAST(Christian Anglers Serving Together) is a bass fishing ministry. Our goal is to spread the Word of Jesus Christ. What is CAST?

Our goal is to spread the Word of Jesus Christ through this wonderful sport we call fishing. We also would like to provide good fellowship among our members while at the same time providing a competitive fishing environment. We have a unique format in which only one person from each boat is required to be a member of the club in order to fish our tournaments. This allows us to use the ministry as

an outreach by inviting fishermen who might not know Christ. This ministry was created from the inspiration of the Lord. We feel that as long as we seek the Lord’s will and give Him credit for all of our success, He will bless this ministry for many years to come.

Yesterday we had a CAST Tournament out of Fenton. The storms and rain held off until the evening and most of the day was overcast, it wasn't as humid as it had been earlier in the week, all in all, it was a Great day to be on the water. I read from Luke 5 about when Jesus was invited to the home of a tax collector and ate with him and his fellow companion tax collectors. It upset the locals that Jesus would go to the home of someone who worked in a profession that was considered dishonest. But Jesus reminded them that those are the people who we need to witness to. This reminds of the importance of our ministry, we welcome anyone and everyone as our main goal is to spread the Gospel.

We had a good turnout of 18 boats, we paid 4 places. Ryan Kirkpatrick and Barrett Washburn have been on fire lately and didn't cool off yesterday taking 1st place with 3 fish at 12lbs and 3oz. They also had big fish with a 4lb 6oz Largemouth. Great job gentlemen. In 2nd place was Davis Smith and Micah Chesser with a 3 fish limit at 10lbs 2oz. In 3rd was Cameron Porter and Drew Lynch with 3 fish at 9lbs 14oz. And in 4th was Tim Griggs with 3 fish at 8lbs 14oz. Thanks to those who helped with the weigh in.

This past Saturday we had our annual Co-ed tournament and went out of Jonathan Creek. We had a nice turnout of 13 boats....

This past Saturday we had our annual Co-ed tournament and went out of Jonathan Creek. We had a nice turnout of 13 boats. Earlier in the week I asked if any of the ladies felt moved to do a devotion. Jessica Housman called me and said she would do it. She new she was stepping out of her comfort zone, but that is what faith is all about. And she did a great job. She reminded us in Roman's 8:18 that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Coming in 1st place with a 3 fish limit at 11lbs and 5 Oz was Mark Bixler and Jess Borror. In 2nd place was Kent and Secret York with 3 fish at 10lbs and 7 Oz. And in 3rd was Randy and Debbie Johnson with a 3 fish limit that weighed 9lb 9 oz. Congratulations to our winners.
