Gilbert Lutheran Church We belong to God. We belong to each other. And so we are here. Gilbert is a small community poised at the northern edge of Ames, Iowa.

Ames is the home of Iowa State University and just a short drive from Des Moines, the state capitol. Gilbert is a vibrant and growing community and is known especially for its school system. From Labor Day - Memorial Day, our Sunday morning worship service is held in person and via Zoom at 10:00 a.m., with Sunday school starting at 9:00 a.m. Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required. However

, they are required for our Sunday school programming. In the summer, our worship service begins at 9:30 a.m., and is held in person and via Zoom.
