As a new school year begins, St. John’s AME Church wants you to know that we are praying for you!
We pray that God will cover our children as they travel to and from school each day. May He protect them from danger, surround them with positive influences, and give them wisdom, knowledge, courage, and understanding.
To our students: Believe in yourself and believe in what God can do through you. Do your best, work hard, be respectful, make good choices, and never be afraid to ask for help. Remember, your circumstances do not determine your future. God has a plan and purpose for your life!
To our teachers and school staff: May God give you patience, strength, wisdom, and compassion as you pour into the lives of our children. Your work matters, and your influence can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
To parents and caregivers: May God give you strength and wisdom as you guide, encourage, and support your children throughout this school year.
🙏🏽 Our Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We place our children, teachers, administrators, and school staff into Your hands. Cover them with Your protection and keep them safe from harm. Give our students wisdom to learn, courage to face challenges, and discipline to make good decisions.
Help them to be kind, respectful, responsible, and a light wherever they go. Remove fear, anxiety, and discouragement, and replace them with confidence, peace, and determination.
Bless every classroom, every school bus, every hallway, and every school building. Give our educators strength and patience. Give parents wisdom as they support their children.
Lord, let this be a year of growth, achievement, success, and new possibilities. Remind our children that they are loved, valued, and created for a purpose.
