This week, we will look at the encounter Peter had with the Roman centurian Cornelius, and the vision God gave to Peter of all animals now declared clean. This was symbolic of God's acceptance of the Gentiles into the family of faith. Worship at Peace Lutheran is a 11:00 am on Sundays.

This week we have the story of a woman named Dorcas who was a faithful worker in the Lord, but had become ill and died. In a scene that is almost an exact duplicate of a story from Jesus' ministry, Peter came to her house, took her by the hand in her death bed, and commanded her to rise. Life came back to her body! Worship at Peace is at 11:00am. This week we celebrate Holy Communion.

This week we come to a turning point in the Book of Acts. In chapter 9, we will read the story of Saul on the road to Damascus, and how Jesus appeared to him in a blinding light and changed his life forever. From this point on, the new man Paul begins to be the central character in the Book of Acts. Worship at Peace Lutheran Church is at 11:00 am.

Moving on to the second half of Acts, Chapter 8, we hear the story of Philip's encounter with the royal official from Ethiopia, who was sitting in his chariot reading the Scriptures. Philip asked if he knew what he was reading. The Ethiopian replied, "How can I, unless someone guides me." This is where we all find ourselves, needing to hear the Scriptures and the promise of Christ proclaimed to us. We do just that on Sunday mornings at Peace Lutheran Church, at 11:00am.

This week we come to the story of Simon the Magician, from Acts, Chapter 8. This was a man who liked to portray himself as a person of power by performing so-called magic. Then he witnessed real power at work in the Holy Spirit. Ever the professional, Simon tried to *buy* the power of the Spirit from the Apostles! Come hear what happened. Worship at Peace Lutheran is at 11:00am of Sunday.

This week's message will focus on Stephen's sermon from Acts, Chapter 7. As he stands before the crowds, he tells the story of God's people, recounting Old Testament events, pointing toward the promise of the Messiah's coming in Jesus. Those who heard Stephen were enraged by his accusation that they had killed the Messiah. Stephen was stoned to death, becoming the first Christian martyr. Come hear his powerful witness in worship this Sunday at 11:00 am.

This week, we look into Acts, Chapter 6, where the young community of the Church finds it needs more help in carrying out its ministry of service. Seven people are appointed, who would later be known as "deacons." Chief among them was Stephen, who became the first Christian martyr. Worship at Peace is at 11:00 am.

This week, from Acts 5, we hear the story of a divine prison break, and we get an inside view of the Sadducees in a secret meeting. We are introduced to a wise teacher named Gamaliel who tells the other leaders, "Let's not do anything ... it will proably be okay." Worship at Peace Lutheran is at 11:00 am.
