Good morning. We have some good news to share. We are growing and are currently looking for an associate pastor at Gibson. I'm excited for us to be at this point and looking forward to what God has in store for us.

Associate Pastor Job Description:

We are seeking an Associate Pastor to serve alongside our Senior Pastor and help us grow our church through discipleship, teaching, and relationships.

The Associate Pastor will have primary responsibility for teaching a Sunday School class and ministering to one age group—youth, young adults, or senior adults—based on their gifts, experience, and the needs of the church.

Responsibilities will include:

Teaching and leading the assigned Sunday School class.
Building relationships and providing encouragement and pastoral care within that age group.
Helping plan and lead activities and events for the group.
Helping reach and connect new people to the church.
Assisting the Senior Pastor with various ministry needs, services, and church activities.
Preaching or teaching when needed.
If gifted in music or technology, helping with worship planning, including a healthy blend of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian praise and worship.

We are looking for someone who is biblically grounded, has a heart for people, is a team player, and is willing to serve wherever needed. Most importantly, we want someone who loves Jesus, loves people, and has a desire to help our church grow spiritually and reach our community for Christ.
