Hi everyone,
As many of you know, we had planned to go snowtubing this coming Sunday, but the slopes are closed due to the unseasonably warm weather. Instead, we are going to see the movie “Jesus Revolution” at the Gateway Theater. We will leave church at 12:45 to see the 1:10 show, and be back at around 3:30 p.m. Please give your youth lunch, as we won’t be eating together at church, but we will provide a drink and snack at the movie theater. Please have your youth bring $5 to partially cover the cost of the movie ticket.
Please RSVP so that we will know whom to expect and where to expect them, and how many seats in cars will need to get us all there. If you would rather drop your youth at the theater at 1:00 p.m. and pick up at 3:00 p.m., that works. Again, just let us know.
The movie is rated PG-13 - for strong drug content involving teens and some thematic elements.
See below for link to IMDb on the movie.
Blessings,
Lou

• Movie synopsis: The true story of a national spiritual awakening in the early 1970s and its origins within a community of teenage hippies in Southern California.
• The Storyline: Inspired by a true movement, JESUS REVOLUTION tells the story of a young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) being raised by his struggling mother, Charlene (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) in the 1970s. Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher, and Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer) who have thrown open the doors of Smith's languishing church to a stream of wandering youth. What unfolds becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history. Rock and roll, newfound love, and a twist of faith lead to a JESUS REVOLUTION that turns one counterculture movement into a revival that changes the world.—Lionsgate
