Gettysburg UMC members collected groceries to complete 99 bags of Thanksgiving meal items (not including the turkey) to complete a turkey dinner. The bags were delivered to SCCAP on Monday, November 17 for the families in Adams County.

If you would like to help those who are struggling because of the effects of Hurricane Helene, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief) is one of the best ways. They are frequently one of the first in and last to leave helping the residents of hard hit areas. ALL money donated goes to help in the disaster relief. You may mark your donations “UMCOR Advance 901670.” Right now, UMCOR is coordinating with affected annual conferences and supporting their local relief efforts. Additionally, UMCOR-trained Early Response Teams (ERTs) are coordinating efforts to support the removal of debris, tarping of roofs, and cleaning out of homes in hard-hit areas.
