Romans 4: 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Once again, we see another example of we are saved by Faith, and not by our actions. That is a good thing because there are no single or multiple actions that we can do that would counter the wickedness of just one little sin.

Adam and Eve did not obey the Lord’s commandment to not eat from the tree of knowledge, and it caused a curse of sin to cover the planet. People, animals and plants were all affected. This is how much the Lord hates sin, and there are not little sins. The Lord hates all sins equally. Eating a forbidden fruit or lying to a loved one to “spare” their feelings, it all bears the same weight.

God has given us Grace in the simple way we obtain salvation, we do not deserve salvation but once we believe and confess Jesus is the risen Son of God we are allowed to share in the payment that Jesus has already made for our sins.

Remember, gifts are not free and do cost the giver, Jesus already paid for our entry to salvation. All we need to do is believe on the Lord Jesus and we can enjoy in the gift He is offering.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The end of the tribulation period will be calculated with many signs and warnings. We won’t be troubled by this because it is clearly stated in Thessalonians that we will be gone by then. It won’t matter if you’re dead or alive you will be called home in an instant, no warnings, no signs. We will be here on earth one day and a second later in Paradise with the Lord.

For the unsaved there will be confusion and chaos, the entire world will instantly become a lot more wicked. The easy path to salvation will no longer be open, although some of us took the long road getting to salvation. After the Rapture the Spirit will no longer be holding back evil and wicked as He does now. It’s good we will not be here to see how the world will change.

2000 years ago, they were getting ready for this to happen at any time, and we need to be ready too. We are closer to the Rapture than ever before, and we need to try to bring those friends and loved ones to the Lord before the doors are shut. Witness to them often and pray for their salvation daily, only the Father himself knows how much more time we have before the end of the Grace period.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

You can’t have grapes growing in your yard if you do not have a grape vine. You don’t have apples without an apple tree. You can go to the grocery store and pick these up, but they don’t appear plentiful all year without the plants. Once you have the Spirit within you it will start to bear fruits.

We look at these in RU in detail explaining each fruit and getting a better understanding of what they can do for you.

Ever notice how you can just tell some people are saved and are walking with the Lord. I remember years ago this one lady that would come to the place I worked, she was always positive, smiling and you could tell she was happy to the core.

At the time I was not saved and didn’t understand where this happiness came from. Now that I am walking with the Lord I understand she was nurturing the Spirit. She was walking with the Lord and not quenching the Spirit but feeding the Spirit. Her overall happiness was the Spirit producing these fruits in abundance.

The closer we walk with the Lord the more we can grow these fruits in ourselves. When we are not walking with the Lord, we are stunting that vine, and it will not produce fruit. Do you want true peace in your life, to be truly happy. We all can have this but if we do not, we need to see where we are stunting the Spirit.

If you want to study these fruits and get a better understanding of how they can affect your life I encourage you to investigate the RU program. It is a discipleship that focuses on your walk with the Lord.

Mark 7:20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

The Pharisees were accusing Jesus’s followers of defiling themselves because they were not keeping the traditions. Not laws from the Lord, but traditions of man and the synagogues.

The short answer is you are defiled by what comes out of you. Your thoughts, your actions, your words, these are the things that creates unholiness. Not washing your hands before eating or eating the wrong kind of meat does not defile a person.

One thing that is mentioned in 7:22 is Pride. The devil has a tricky way of taking a sin, and making it look like something we should be proud of. The devil will take the sins and the most unclean things in the world and making them so abundant that it would make a person think this is not rebellion against our God.

The short answer is the Lord does not change with the current trends in this world. If the bible speaks against it, you should be against it also. The most direct opposite of pride is humility or modesty.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

God does not choose for us to go through the wrath that is to come, he has giving us the easy way out. You hear the unbelievers complain that they cannot follow a god that will curse people to hell. I say I can not follow a god that lets the wicked get away with their sins and then rewards them with heaven.

God hates sin so much that when Adam and Even committed the first sin it affected the entire planet. The plants, animals and the people were all affected, everything alive. Yet He sent His Son in our place to shed blood on the Cross. The only Holy sacrifice that could free the world from the second death, or the wrath of the tribulation.

God has equipped us with everything we need to spend eternity with Him in paradise. We all should be cursed for what we have already done, but he has given us all the tools we need to prevent this punishment. We have an opportunity to be remove before the tribulation starts, to miss the part where the earth taken over by evil.

We all make plenty of bad choices every day, but this one should be easy to avoid.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

I Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Funny how the Lord lines up these verses with occasions in my life. I was just talking about this last night and flipped open my notebook and found 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10. These are a few passages that offer the promise of the saved escaping the wrath.

Even hear people talk about this is the real hell, impossible, because we are still here. Right here in 1:10 “which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

This is another great reason to get vocal and don’t hide your Christianity around others. There is a wrath coming, it will appear like hell on earth to those who miss the rapture. Once the saved are removed the Holy Ghost takes on a different role and evil will no longer be restrained like it is now. Those who survive will no longer have the easy path to salvation through belief in Jesus and confession He is their King and Lord.

Remember, this can and will happen at any time, without notice. There will be no 5-minute buzzer where they have a last chance to repent. Make sure you have a tract in your pocket before leaving the house today.
