John 2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

You can be angry and not sin, a great example is Jesus flipping the tables and whipping the people scamming the worshipers in the temple. Although He was angry, he did not sin.

We can be angry with what is going on around us also, but it is our choice to sin or not. We can get mad at that person weaving in and out of traffic but yelling at them will not change their driving. Although if we pray they change their ways before they get hurt or hurt someone else, we just took the high Christian Road and in this case it was probably more effective.

Although sometimes we cannot turn a blind eye to a crime. We may need to report it to the police. Sometimes we see others doing wrong and we need to let them know, so they understand what they are doing is not acceptable. These can be very delicate situations, when people are convicted of their sin they tend to get angry.

Remember the example we are setting to others, If I yell at a jaywalker, then run into them at Church, what type of an example am I setting? Remember who we are working for, when correcting another I don’t want to go back to the Lord later and have to ask for forgiveness for my actions.

Genesis 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

It is sad to see the news and see people defending a woman for killing her children. Not only that they say she should be released but they can understand her position because of “temporary insanity”. I believe this not only shows a breakdown in our society but also a influx of demonic activity.

What does the bible say about murder, it says the killer must have his or her blood shed. That is not a few drops on an alter, that means they must be killed for what they have done. They have killed a person without cause, we are made in the image of God and this is a offence against man and the gift of life the Lord has given us.

This only applies to murder. This does not apply to self-defense, protecting the innocent or what happens in war. If the police stop a criminal and need to use force, then the sins of the criminal caused their death. If a person is sentenced to death because of their crimes, their sins caused their death.

Murder is never acceptable regardless of the reason. There is never a reason to harm an innocent child. If we do not hold these criminals accountable for their crimes, the Lord will hold us accountable for not punishing them.

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

We have all seen this in the movies; the pagan priest chants the same saying over and over, louder and louder. They think their false gods will hear them if they just say it loud enough. If they pray loud enough on the 47th time their god will hear what they didn’t the 46th time.

I always think about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, as the pagans chanted in the sacrifice room. How deaf is their gods, the problem is they are either dead, or the demons they are praying to don’t care for their meaningless prayers.

The difference is our God not only hears every prayer but loves us and wants us to excel in all aspects of goodness in life. We can pray in private, in public, loudly or just a whisper. He hears every thought and sees every action. If our prayers fit into His plan for the world they will be stamped for approval, if not, we need to keep praying and believe they will be granted.

When we pray over and over, and our prayers are for good, the Lord wants to help us. The problem is we know what we want, but not always what we need. The Lord knows what we need, want and what is best for mankind. I may want a million dollars, but what would I do with it, would I put the good of others first or would I satisfy my needs with greed and hunger? I may want deliverance through a tough challenge in life, but the Lord knows I need to be challenged to make me stronger.

We pray to a living God that hears us, we don’t need to have a prefabricated prayer and to chant if repeatedly at the top of a mountain. He hears us when we are quietly praying in our basement. The important thing is to pray from out heart and talk to the Lord like He is our fathers, often and with truth.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Peace for me was one of the biggest changes in my life. After salvation I started to become calmer and more peaceful regardless of the situation I was in. Or regardless of what training the Lord had put in front of me.

Just like being filled with the Spirit this is also like planting a tree. You don’t start with a 15’ tree producing apples, but if you plant it, water it and feed it you will end up with a strong tree producing fruit.

We are commanded many times in the bible to not be afraid. This is also a gift from the Lord through that Spirit within us. Fear should be melting away as you put more and more trust in the Lord, and that His will is done. My will would put me in some pretty cushy places, but that’s not how you build strength. How can you show you are strong if you are not challenged.

Accept the challenges, push yourself, and always look for how you can fulfil the will of the Lord.
