What a wonderful day this past Sunday was! Even with the rain, we had great time at the Rec Park in the Sterner Building. We lifted up students and all those working in the education system during our Blessing of the Backpacks, celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows, and hosted our annual church picnic. We are thankful for all the people involved with making this possible and all who came to worship and celebrate God's greatness!

GPC Outdoor Worship and Picnic!

We have rented the Fireman's Pavillion and the Sterner building for tomorrow's picnic. The Sterner building is a large enough indoor space that we can also have our worship service there, and that's what we're going to do! If you do not know where the Sterner Building is, it's the main building complex next to the parking lot, located off of Long Lane.

Church picnic, rain or shine, at the Gettysburg Area Rec Park!

We'll see you at the 10:30 am worship service, in the Sterner Building.

After worship, we'll set up tables and have a wonderful meal together as a community.

And for the brave among us, maybe even go outside 😀

Don't forget that we have our Outdoor Service this week at 10:30am! Followed immediately by our All Church Picnic. All are welcome, plenty of food available, feel free to bring a side dish or dessert!

We also invite students, teachers and anyone working in the school system to join us with their backpack or briefcase to be prayed over and blessed for the upcoming school year!

Last night was our first “Minecraft Church”. Youth gathered round for food, fellowship and to learn about the 10 Commandments. They entered the digital space to climb Mt Sinai and receive the Commandments then bring them back down for the people. We are grateful for the leadership who set up this creative event and look forward to the events to come!

Our youth and leaders have returned safely from Montreat! We are grateful for the leadership team that made this possible. There was an incredible amount of fellowship, whether in small groups, worship, back home groups, during Rec, hiking a mountain or during an excellent family dinner.
