Ultimate is a great way to start the summer at the Germantown Church of Christ on May 27-28, 2016 Ultimate is about God and His ultimate purpose for us.

There is no better way to celebrate the start of summer than to join us at Germantown Church of Christ for our tenth ever ULTIMATE YOUTH RALLY!!! Each year, teens from around the Mid-South gather during the Memorial Day weekend! It’s a weekend experience filled with challenging lessons, uplifting worship and opportunities to connect with new friends. It is a spiritually focused weekend that challe

nges teens and promotes self-reflection. We are VERY excited about ULTIMATE X! In addition, you won’t want to miss this year's entertainment Harris the Third a Master Storyteller and Illusionist Friday night and the Ultimate Frisbee & Sand Volleyball Tournaments on Saturday.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Due to pandemic guidelines, we will unfortunately not be able to host the Ultimate Youth Rally this year (May 2021). While many places are beginning to reopen, the greater Memphis metropolitan area is experiencing a slower process than outlying rural areas. Beyond our city and state safety measures, we want to make sure that as a congregation we look to the health and best interest of those who would be traveling and attending this event.

Dear Youth Minister, Worker or Volunteer:

I regret to inform you that the annual Ultimate Youth Rally hosted by the Germantown church of Christ, scheduled for Friday May 22nd-Sunday May 24th, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus and health concerns regarding large group activities. While many places are beginning to reopen, the greater Memphis metropolitan area is experiencing a slower process than outlying rural areas. Beyond our city and state safety measures, we want to make sure that as a congregation we look to the health and best interest of those who would be traveling and attending this event.

Thoughts and conversations were had about postponing the event, but with the amount of uncertainty regarding this health concern in addition to the amount of work that goes into the event, that is unfortunately not possible. This is the first time we have had to cancel since starting the event over a decade ago. It is with prayerful deliberation and much conversation that we have made this decision. And during this time, your family and congregations are in our hearts and prayers as well.

With that said, we look toward brighter days and specifically next year! We will be keeping our theme and speaker scheduled for this year and look forward to Ultimate 2021. Next year’s Ultimate Youth Rally is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, Friday May 28th- Sunday May 30th, 2021. So, while this is a cancellation letter in part, it is also a save the date! We look forward to celebrating our love for Christ and taking part in fun Christian competition on the fields next year. We hope to see you all there happy and healthy!!!

We are so excited to have Noah Vann, the Youth Minister for the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ be our guest speaker at the Ultimate Youth Rally this year! Noah is an amazing youth worker who is dedicated to sharing God's word in fun and inventive ways with teens all throughout the south. Noah went to Free-Hardeman University where he met his wife Megan and together they've been working with the youth in Owens Cross Roads Alabama for the past two years. You won't want to miss his passionate lessons and unique perspective on what it means to turn the world upside down for Christ!

We're excited for our guest speaker this year, Andy Frizzell! Andy is a graduate of FHU and Fresno Pacific University and has worked with churches in California and Tennessee for the last 13 years. He is married to Ashley and they have 3 children and have been foster parents to others. He is the youth and family minister at the Campbell St church in Jackson, TN.
