Testimony Tuesday. If you can't tell Let me Tell it!

God has been so good to me. I left my job in corporate America in May 2022. No buyout. no severance. Just stepped out on faith. I heard God say it's time to focus on ministry. It's time to focus on your whole being-body, mind and spirit. It's time to finish the work.
Let me tell it, God has been good to me. I started traveling the world. I took a contract job with the USPS. God said I didn't tell you to do that. I quit 6 mos later. I enrolled in Louisville Seminary and started my doctorate in ministry program. People said why are you doing that you have 4 degrees already. I knew it was not about the degree but the journey to evolve a FinisHer and a FinisHers Women's Ministry that God called me to do. Today, I'm still grinding. Many, so many of you, still grind with me. I say thank you for four years of online and hybrid ministry. The race is not given to the swift nor the strong but she that endures to the end.

Let me tell it, God has been good to me. I stepped back from my duties from my beloved home church with all the comforts and familiarity not knowing what would lie ahead. Being in the wilderness is never easy. But God is in the wilderness with me, so I wait on God. FedEx said we no longer will offer retiree health insurance. I had to go on an Affordable Care Plan that is not like private insurance. Having to pay $2000/mo for 2 diabetes drugs plus monthly premiums was not what I "signed up for". It was not in my budget. God has provided.

Let me tell it, God has been good to me. I spent 2 weeks in Paris/Switzerland celebrating my 60th birthday with 25 amazing women. I've participated in Sister Circles and have family members and male besties that have continued to pray for me and take very good care of me. God has been with me and continues to be with me. I share this to encourage someone today. God will be with you through the ups and downs, the good, the bad and the ugly. Don't worry about the uncertainty of the future, just know that God's still in control. I don't know what lies ahead but what I do know is that I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor her seed begging bread. So, I ain't gonna stress about none of this stuff and neither should you. I trust in God. I believe God will never fail us. That's my testimony. FinisHers, let me tell it, let me tell you, God has been good to me. Trust God today!

Good Morning FinisHers. It's a new day filled with new mercies because everyday is a fresh start. Step into that newness and freshness this morning. SistHers, today is a gentle reminder that no matter what yesterday held—mistakes, missed opportunities, or even victories—God’s mercies are new every morning. 💜 Each sunrise is His invitation to begin again, to walk forward with hope, and to trust Him for what’s ahead.
Let’s release the weight of yesterday and embrace the gift of today. Take a deep breath, smile, and step into this new beginning with faith and courage. 🌅

FinisHers Faith Friday Flashback

A Strong Finish Requires Strong Faith

Scripture
If you have faith the size of a mustard, you can say to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it will obey you. Luke 17:6 (NIV)

Meditation
At the beginning of 2022, much like some other years, I created a vision board. On my vision board I outlined several things that I wanted to accomplish. I found pictures from magazines, used colored markers and created this board that pictorially described how I envisioned my life at the end of 2022. I had some easy and some challenging goals I outlined for myself. Goals around health living, relationships and ministry. I also led several Vision Board Parties and follow up sessions. As I watched these ladies create their boards, share their dreams and progress, I was excited for them. But I also know what happens to these boards in July, November and even December. Many women will never look at that board the entire year. Many have abandoned their dreams and goals because life got in the way. Work got crazy. The family had too much going on. They wanted to see the world and live life to the fullest. I get it. But there are somethings on that vision board that needs to be completed this year. In order to complete it, you must have strong faith. You have a whole month to lose five pounds. You have 29 more days to create that podcast. You have 696 hours to write that business plan. Sis, that’s 41,760 seconds to make that dream a reality. And guess what, with a little mustard seed faith, you can do it. So, I am encouraging you, no I am challenging you this morning, go get your vision board you created. Put it on your kitchen or dining room table. Pick one, just one goal or dream that can realistically be accomplished in the next 29 days, and just do it. Yes, you can finish that work, you started in January. You got this. Build your mustard seed faith with positive affirmations, daily. You can still have a strong finish in 2025; it will just require strong faith.

Prayer
Let us prayer. God thank you for giving us gifts, goals and dreams. Help us to remember that we have the faith we need to complete whatever our hearts desire. Help us to exercise our mustard seed faith and get it done. We believe that we can still finish this year strong. We trust you to help us on today. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
