Here’s a reminder that our next service is MAY 31 - two Sundays from now, in GEORGETOWN. Our 15 year old youth cantor, Jayden Mann, will present the meditation. Here’s his prayer letter for us. We look forward to a spectacular close to 2025-26.

PRAYER LETTER FOR MAY, 2026
From Jayden Mann

My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As the season of Easter comes to an end, and the season of Pentecost begins, let us remember the gifts of peace and love given to us by Christ. Just as the disciples of Jesus were told in His final days on Earth to go and spread the gospel to all nations, we are called to be brave and bold in speaking about our faith. Jesus’ light is not one meant to be contained, but spread for all the world to see. You and I have seen this world. It is broken and beaten and in ruins, but it is never beyond repair. On Pentecost, Jesus created a new hope and a new mission for His church, to spread the story of His birth, death, and resurrection, that all the Earth might know him.

He has invited every one of us to live in His peace, and Pentecost stands as a reminder that no matter where we are, He is always with us. His presence surrounds us, His mercy fills us, and His light shines through us.

All are welcome to join in song, prayer, and meditation as we gather together on our journey towards Christ, as "Pilgrims of Hope and Pilgrims of Peace." The service is May 31 at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, 5404 Williams Drive, Georgetown. Wherever you may be on life’s path, you are invited among us.

With the Love and Peace given to us by Jesus Christ,

Jayden Mann
Youth Cantor and Speaker

Wholeness Community, here is the memorial information for Tyler Fletcher.

The funeral mass for our beloved friend and brother-in-Christ, Tyler Fletcher, will be held Friday, May 29th at 3pm in our chapel (with overflow into the courtyard). A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. The family welcomes all who wish to join them for the internment at Salado Cemetery following the reception.

Eternal Lord God, you hold all souls in life: Give to your whole Church in paradise and on earth your light and your peace; and grant that we, following the good examples of those who have served you here and are now at rest, may at the last enter with them into your unending joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a man so singular, we would not even exist without him. Tyler Fletcher the founder, benefactor, and beating heart of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church passed away last weekend. The Village of Salado is changed forever by this, and our little movement grieves with them.

It's hard to express how deeply we feel this loss along with our partner church. Tyler was the very image of the Spirit of Christ Jesus: whimsical, carefree, deeply compassionate, and full of life. Best of all, he had a habit of showing up wherever you were, especially when you were not looking for him; always with an uncanny sense of what you needed right then and there.

This man kept a store of books and antiques that was right out of a J. K. Rowlings novel. Many of his treasures were bought from storage sales or rescued from trash heaps in Europe. He saw their beauty and used them to create entire worlds. He also played Taizé music in his store. One day, almost 20 years ago -- two decades! -- Sean Mann heard a Taizé sound track at Fletcher's Books and Antiques, and he fell in love with it. Tyler told him all about it of course. The next day, Sean bought a CD and started playing it at home, and both Sean and Ginger began a pilgrimage to Taizé in their hearts - one which they completed in person in the year 2017.

Tyler, you are gone too soon. We are glad for the brief moments we were able to spend with you. We know that you're already enjoying the company of our Lord and Savior, and we suspect you've offered Him some coffee by now. Until we meet again, dear friend, we will remember you.
