Over twenty-five years ago, Pastor Gary Brown had a dream to start a church in Georgetown, KY that would point hurting and broken people to something so much bigger than their reality...Jesus Christ. At that time Gary and his wife Marcia along with their three small children, Corrie, Andrew and Erin were living in Louisiana where Gary pastored a church. With much prayer and little money in their p

ockets, the Brown family set out for the Bluegrass to accomplish this big dream in their hearts. In January of 1987, Grace Christian Church launched its first service with a small group of only three people. Grace had many locations over the next several years including hospital rooms and store fronts but due to the rapidly increasing growth of the church, Grace Christian was finally able to purchase a permanent home. However, after ten years on Gano Avenue, it was evident that this facility was not a permanent solution as the congregation outgrew this building as well. In 1995 Grace was able to purchase 62 acres complete with a to***co barn right off of US 25. The to***co barn was converted into a temporary meeting place as the main building began to take shape. In October of 1999 the first service of the newly completed Grace Christian Church was held. Twenty-five years later the dream that God placed in one family has now become the vision of many people who all share the same common interest…pointing the hurting and the broken to Christ.

For the past three weeks, we've been walking through the story of the Prodigal Son and discovering that there is more than one lost son in the story.

The younger son was reckless, rebellious, and ran far from home. The elder brother was dutiful, responsible, and stayed close—but his heart was far from the Father.

Maybe you identify with the prodigal, carrying regrets and wondering if you've gone too far. Or maybe you see yourself in the elder brother, struggling with pride, resentment, or self-righteousness.

The beautiful truth of this parable is that the Father's love reaches both sons. Whether you've wandered far away or have been standing nearby with a hardened heart, the Father is waiting to welcome you, restore you, and forgive you with open arms.

Which son do you relate to most? Share in the comments below, and let us know what God has been teaching you through this series.

Our Kidz City team may be a little short-handed this summer, but for all the best reasons. ☀️

Busy family schedules, vacations, growing families, and exciting new seasons of life mean some of our amazing volunteers are taking a step back for a time.

As we continue creating a fun, safe, and faith-filled environment for our kids, we'd love to welcome a few more people to the team! If you've ever considered serving in Kidz City, this summer is a great time to jump in.

Thank you to every volunteer who invests in the next generation—you make a lasting difference. ❤️

Hi Grace Family!
Have you walked with Jesus for years, but lately your faith feels stagnant, your purpose uncertain, or your prayer life inconsistent?
Maybe you have questions about who God really is, or whether His plans are truly good.
Have life’s hardships clouded the truths that once felt certain?

If any of that resonates with you, Rooted is an incredible next step this summer.

Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience designed to deepen your relationship with God, strengthen your understanding of biblical truth, and connect you meaningfully with others. Together, we will explore foundational rhythms of the Christian faith through prayer, Scripture, serving, testimony, and intentional community.

This is more than a class. It is an opportunity to be renewed, challenged, encouraged, and grounded in your faith alongside other people pursuing Jesus together. We are called to a life deeply rooted in Christ.

Join us as we begin our Summer Rooted session on May 31 - SIGN UP TODAY!
*Sign-ups are open until the start of second service (10:00am) so click the link below and register TODAY!
