A Word of Encouragement from Supt. Robert Burrell, Sr…
Today, many of us may be feeling a range of emotions. If the candidate we voted for did not win, it’s natural to feel disappointed, frustrated, or even discouraged. In times like these, we need to remember that our emotions are real, but they don't define our future. The outcome of an election or any earthly circumstance does not change the ultimate truth: God is still in control.
He is sovereign, and His plans are never thwarted. It may feel like a setback, but I want to encourage you today: what we see as a setback, God may be using as a setup for a mighty comeback! His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). Even when the world around us seems uncertain, He is the Rock on which we stand.
As we navigate through this moment, let us place our trust in the One who holds the future. Let us remember His promises to protect us, guide us, and provide for us. Psalm 46:1 reminds us that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." He will never leave us nor forsake us.
So, if you're feeling overwhelmed, remember that God has you. He is still the King of Kings, and He is still on the throne. Take a deep breath, hold fast to your faith, and trust that God's timing and purposes are perfect.
Let's keep praying, stay hopeful, and remember that the best is yet to come. God is working all things together for our good.
Blessings,
Supt. Robert Burrell Sr.
