Sadar Pranam and Happy New Year!
As we enter the New Year, we are granted a sacred opportunity for renewal—not just of our calendars, but of our spirits and our commitment to the path of Dharma.
On behalf of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Your dedication to your mandirs, support of our programmes, activities, initiatives , and our culture are all at the heart of Dharmic Sabha. It is through our hands and hearts together that the light of Sanatan Dharma continues to burn brightly across our beautiful Guyana.
In a world that often feels fractured and fast-paced, the principles of Dharma provide us with an immovable foundation. Dharma is more than ritual; it is the righteous action we take when no one is watching. It is the compassion we show to the vulnerable, the integrity we bring to our work, and the peace we cultivate within our homes.
This year, I challenge each of you to move beyond being "observers" of our Dharma and to become active practitioners of its virtues:
• Seva (Selfless Service): Let us look toward our neighbors. A hand extended in kindness is the highest form of worship.
• Satya (Truth): In an age of misinformation, let your words be anchors of honesty and your lives be reflections of your inner truth.
• Ahinsa (Non-Violence): Let us resolve to remove harshness from our speech and anger from our hearts, fostering harmony within our families and our nation.
The Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha remains committed to serving you, but our strength lies in our unity. As we navigate the coming year, let us do so with the understanding that we are one family (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam). When one of us succeeds, we all rise. When one of us falls, we all reach down to lift them up.
Let us make this year a testament to the power of our values. Let us be better citizens, better parents, better friends, and better Hindus. By refining our own character, we contribute to the upliftment of all Guyanese people.
May Lord Rama grant you the strength to uphold righteousness, may Maa Lakshmi bless your homes with abundance, and may Lord Ganesha remove every obstacle from your path.
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
With Prem and Om,
Vindhya Vasini Persaud
President
