Happy Clergy Appreciation Day! 💚

Today, we’re especially grateful for Pastor Alex and the heart she brings to our FPC family. Her thoughtful leadership, genuine care for others, and intentional way of walking alongside our congregation make such a difference in the life of our church.

We’re also thankful for the many retired pastors who are part of our church family. Their years of faithful ministry, wisdom, and continued presence are a gift to our congregation.

To Alex and all those who have dedicated their lives to ministry, thank you for the many ways you share God’s love and care for others. We are blessed to have you as part of our FPC family!

We had a great group from FPC attend the Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) Fall Luncheon in Austin this week!

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the important work PCHAS is doing to support children and families and to celebrate the difference this ministry is making in so many lives.

We're grateful for our continued partnership with PCHAS, for our Mission Advocate, Bridget Chapman, and for everyone who represented First Pres at this special event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday to celebrate Katy Nix! It was wonderful to see so many people come together to show their love and appreciation for all Katy has meant to our youth and our church family.

Katy is stepping into a new calling as a hospice chaplain, and while we are going to miss having her as our Youth Minister, we’re so excited for her and this next chapter. And the good news is, this isn’t goodbye! After a little time away, Katy and her family will be back with us as part of our FPC family.

Katy, thank you for loving our youth so well. We love you, we’ll miss you, and we’re cheering you on! 💙
