We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us. We practice weekly communion, baptism by immersion, and believe that women, men and children are all leaders in the church. AMEN House/Blessing Box Collection - Sunday, June 7
For our monthly First Sunday Food Collection, all non-perishable food items collected will be shared through our Blessing Box on College Street and monetary donations will be given to the AMEN House. Sharing these resources helps address food insecurity here in Scott County. (Food items can also be donated throughout the month by placing them in the red wagon in the hall outside the chapel)

And, Gathering Place Mission Collection
For the month of June we will be supporting an urgent need at the Gathering Place Mission. We will be collecting paper towels, toilet tissue, and all purpose cleaner such as Fabuloso. Items can be donated in the bin outside of the gathering area, or checks can be made out to First Christian Church with Gathering Place on the memo line.

Family Hike at McConnell Springs Park - June 7 at 1:30 p.m. Families with kids! Come to church! Then, bring snacks and meet at McConnell Springs Park in Lexington for time to play and an easy family nature hike. The park is a short 15-minute drive from Georgetown, located at 416 Rebmann Ln. We'll meet at the park at 1:30 pm.

The Open Table: LGBTQ+allies Support Group
Our LGBTQ+allies group, led by Rev. Christy Messick, will be meeting Sunday, May 31, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. for a time of fellowship and faith. Snacks will be provided and childcare is available if requested in advance. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Christy Messick at the church. FCC at Lexington PrideFCC at Lexington Pride
We are excited to share our compassionate hospitality again this year at Lexington Pride, and we want you to join us! This year, Pride will be held on Saturday, May 30, at Oliver Lewis Park in Lexington. Last year we had a great turnout and a lot of fun! This is a family friendly Pride experience, so kids are welcome too. A sign-up sheet for volunteer slots is on the bulletin board outside the chapel. If you have questions contact Tammy Bisotti or Erin Cash at the church.
