Throughout Scripture, some of the most pivotal moments in God's story don't happen in the temple courts or the city centers — they happen on the mountainside.

This is not a coincidence. Mountains in Scripture are *thin places* — where heaven and earth draw close, where God interrupts ordinary life with something extraordinary, where people arrive one way and leave completely changed.

Which is why this summer at Faith, we're heading to the mountains. We'll journey together through some of Scripture's most dramatic and beloved mountaintop moments, asking the question: What can we learn here that we might miss somewhere else?

We’re celebrating one of our own! 🎉

Today at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly, Greg Earwood participated in a book-signing event for his newly released book, Memorable Mountains in Matthew, with Good Faith Media.

Throughout the summer, we’ve been exploring the mountains of Scripture together in worship at Faith—those sacred places where people encounter God, gain new perspective, and discover the courage to take the next step on the journey. Greg’s book invites readers to experience Matthew’s Gospel through these mountain-top moments, tracing Jesus’ ministry from the Mountain of Temptation to the Mountain of Resurrection.

We are grateful for Greg’s faithful ministry, scholarship, and witness, and we look forward to celebrating this accomplishment with him in worship on Sunday, July 12, when he will be our guest preacher.

Congratulations, Greg! We can't wait to continue the climb together. ⛰️📖

We give thanks for Greg’s ministry, scholarship, and faithful witness among us, and we are excited to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment with him!
