What does it mean to be the salt of the earth? In Matthew 5:13, Jesus warns that salt which has lost its flavor is good for nothing. Pastor Scott brought a powerful word this week about how the Church has traded the bold, seasoned gospel for a feel-good, entertainment-style message that leaves people unchanged and heading in the wrong direction.

Salt preserves, cleanses, and flavors. The Word of God does the same thing in our lives. But it does not always feel comfortable. Sometimes God has to season us, grill us, and work through us before we are ready to be used. Colossians 4:6 reminds us that our speech should be seasoned with salt so we know how to answer every person with truth and grace.

Are you willing to let God throw some salt into your life? Come hungry for the real Gospel. The doors are open and there is always room at the table.

Are you still salty? Jesus called us the salt of the earth in Matthew 5:13, but warned that salt without flavor is worthless. The church was never meant to entertain -- it was meant to preserve, cleanse, and season a dying world with the truth of the Gospel.

Just like the human body cannot function without sodium, the body of Christ cannot function without boldness. Colossians 4:6 reminds us that our speech should be seasoned with salt -- and sometimes that means speaking hard truths in love, not just soft words that leave people comfortable in sin.

Let God salt your life. Let Him put you on the flame, cook out the impurities, and make you into something that draws others to Him. The best testimony you have is a changed life that people cannot ignore.

Come hungry. Come ready to be seasoned.

What does real love look like? Not the Hollywood version, not empty words, but the kind of love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. That is the love described in 1 Corinthians 13, and that is the love God has shown every one of us.

This week we explored how love is not just something you say, it is something you do. God proved it by sending His Son to die on a cross. We prove it by stepping outside the church walls, serving our communities, telling hard truths, and refusing to give up on people the way God has never given up on us.

If you have ever felt like you were too far gone, too broken, or too much of a mess for God to use, this message is for you. His love still believes in you. Come hear what actionable, agape love can do in a life surrendered to Christ.

God didn't send me to hell. He sent me to Calvary.

God loves you. God believes all things for you. He bears all things for you. until the day of Jesus Christ. He's not done.

Sometimes true love is taking an opportunity that God gives you where you failed in the past and say, God, I'm not going to make any money on this. Lord, it's going to be hard. I'm going to sweat to death. I might end up in the hospital. I don't care.
