We are proud to announce that our Office Manager, Kaitlyn Noel, received Office Manager of The Year for Region 2 State Parks! Kaitlyn is a remarkable professional, who works not only to better our park, but all Region 2 with her knowledge in purchasing, budgeting, and all things state parks! We look forward to seeing how she continues to grow and learn at TPWD!

The George West Cemetery Association will be cleaning up all old flowers, any solar lights and trash at the cemetery this week?
Our thanks to Sheriff Larry Busby, Chief Deputy Charlie Stroleny and Commissioner Lucio Morin for providing help with this massive project.

Please member that seasonal flowers and funeral flowers must be removed within 30 days.
There are to be NO solar lights. Solar lights break and are a danger to those mowing and weedeating.
The Cemetery Association has been lax about asking people to remove these items. This has caused the cemetery to look very run down.

Also, please remember that garden hoses WITH SPRINKLERS attached can be used, but must be limited to an hour a day. We have had to replace water wells parts due to some people leaving hoses wide open for hours and over night.
