On this National Prayer Day, pause and seek the Lord.
Philippians 4:6–7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer isn’t merely an obligation; it’s an invitation to fellowship with God and let him carry our burdens. It’s also a great way to love one another.
Pray for the following:
Salvation & Revival: Pray for hearts to turn to Jesus, spiritual renewal, repentance, and deeper love for God. (Ps. 85:6; Joel 2:13)
The Church: Pray for unity, holiness, wisdom, faithful preaching, discipleship, and bold witness. (John 17:21)
Those Hurting & Vulnerable: Pray for the grieving, lonely, sick, anxious, poor, marginalized, and oppressed. (Ps. 34:18)
Families & Marriages: Pray for healthy homes, strong marriages, godly parenting, reconciliation, and protection. (Josh. 24:15; Col. 3:14)
The Next Generation: Pray for children, teens, and young adults to know and follow Christ wholeheartedly. (1 Tim. 4:12; Ps. 145:4)
Leaders & Government: Pray for wisdom, justice, humility, integrity, and peace among leaders. (1 Tim. 2:1–2)
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Ps. 145:18)
