As the children of God, I am amazed at how dysfunctional we are as a family. I am speaking of course as Christians, more specifically the Church. The purpose of the church is to Glorify God, that being said it would seem to me we would take every opportunity to worship together and glorify His name whenever we can. We held a Christmas celebration this year and invited other churches in our area, not one wanted to be a part of a celebration, as a matter of fact one church told us they would not be involved because we would try to steal their people, how absurd! That sentiment would be similar to not going to a family reunion because you were afraid someone would try to steal your children. Church here is the reality, if we continue to let denominational doctrine separate us, if we take an attitude of just protecting what we have and not gather as a family, then our congregations will continue to shrink. Look at the book of acts the very beginning it tells us that God grew their numbers. If we are not glorifying Him as a united family, then we can never expect Him to grow our family because we are only look warm. Please examine your hearts is not God greater than our petty differences?
