Genesee Community Garden The garden is located behind St. John's Lutheran Church at 684 West Ash Avenue. It's between the white house on the corner and the church, by the alley. Ash.

The Genesee CommUnity Garden is a volunteer-run garden located behind the St. John's Lutheran Church, 648 W. Our mission is to feed people good food! Instead of dividing the space into individual plots, the whole is run like a small farm; this allows us to be the most efficient with work and materials and maximizes the harvest available to everyone. By encouraging beginners to partner with more ex

perienced growers and sharing the load, everyone benefits! Volunteers plan, till, plant, w**d, water, harvest, and clean up the garden. The garden is available to Genesee-ites, so anyone may feel free to work in the garden and EVERYONE may harvest ANYTHING from the garden. Genesee has some of the richest soil in the world, so we want to share this prime garden spot with all of you! Please stop by to see the progress, pull a few w**ds, or pluck a ripe tomato. Our hope is that everyone will enjoy this garden!

We'll meet this Wednesday, March 6, at 2 pm at St John (basement fellowship hall) to decide "What Goes Where" in the garden.
We will also Mark off a space that we call section d where anyone can come clean up old w**ds or dead stuff and haul it off.
We will also discuss signage and how to communicate with our community. All are welcome. See you there!

Genesee Community Garden meeting March 6 at 2 p.m. at St John Lutheran in Genesee. The agenda will include "What goes where?" We'll discuss where the plants go, the greenhouse goes, etc.

Workdays will be Tuesday late afternoon/ early evening and Saturday mornings as needed.

The jobs that need done will be posted and someone from the coordinating group will be there to help you.
