“If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” I Peter 4:11, NKJV

Serve in God’s strength. The Christian life cannot be lived in human strength or ability. It is a supernatural life that requires the power of the Holy Spirit who lives inside each believer. The Holy Spirit came to dwell in us when we were born again.

Serving the Lord also requires the power of the Holy Spirit. The good news is that God can provide all you need to do all He has called you to do. Burnout happens when we try to do it in our own strength instead of His Spirit. The life of the servant of God requires the Spirit of God.

Serve for God’s glory. Our service is not to elevate self or others, but for the glory of God. We were created for His glory and we live for His glory. There will be a constant battle with the flesh that longs to be noticed and praised. But God alone is worthy of all praise and glory! To Him belongs the glory and dominion for ever and ever!

Gather the family this morning and join us for worship! It is a beautiful morning and we have been so blessed with rain and mild weather. We receive the grace of God everyday as He blesses us in ways we cannot see and do not deserve. Be careful to give Him thanks and praise! The greatest blessing, though, is the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord! Don’t ever get over the wonder of that gift! Our Lord is worthy to be worshiped – I hope to see you this morning as we worship Him together!
