From Aaron,
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household" - Matthew 10:36. "But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet...For this my son was dead, and is alive again;" - Luke 15:22,24. The gospel separates, and as you can see the gospel also heals separations. I enjoyed preaching on this yesterday. Lordwilling I am looking forward to Wednesday night. I'll be preaching on this thought: "God can Trim a Tree, Save a Stump, and Make it Grow Again." Can you guess where I'll be preaching from? Put your answers in the comments. If you win, I'll give you a free autographed picture of somebody who is not famous.

From Aaron,
Join us Sunday, as New Grace sings for us at 11am. We look forward to hearing them and seeing you. Here's a devotional thought for you....
33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord. Psalms 104:33-34
The psalmist has made some willful decisions here. As long as he lives, he is determined to sing praises to God. His mind will purposely think on the Lord, and it will be sweet to his soul. He will be glad in the Lord. Many, many times we do not want to do any of this. Circumstances in the world and in our own lives bring us down. We must consciously choose to think differently. Today, let’s make a choice to sing unto the Lord and meditate on the good things He has done for us and through us. Be glad in the Lord today!

From Aaron,
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
All across this great nation, there are stories. Stories of Mothers and Fathers, Sons and Daughters, and Sisters and Brothers who paid the ultimate price for freedom. They were brave Americans, who gave literally all that they could give. I am humbled by that today. The Lord gave His all, and in that very spirit of sacrifice these heroes sacrificed for the greater good. I preached the gospel yesterday without fear, because we are free in America to do so. Despite many who would say otherwise, the gospel inspires freedom and our nation and its liberty is built on this ethic of freedom. Let us pause to thank God today for America, and the soldiers who have helped make it free.

From Aaron,
I feel impressed to share this, so here goes. Yesterday was Awards Day at GCHS. Eli isn't big on that type of thing, so I drove him to school, gave him a note, and let him sign out. We got some breakfast, had his car serviced and then went and helped my parents. We discussed a few of our shared (and weird interests, like The Incredible Hulk TV Series from the 70s, lol). We worked around the house together, and accomplished quite a bit. It was an Awards Day for us; not everyone's cup of tea but it worked for us. I loved the pictures I saw from other parents from the Awards Day; that worked for them and I'm sincerely glad for them all. But I've come to realize, we are all different. And God loves to use our differences; the brothers of David looked like kings---but it turned out that David was a lion killer, a bear killer, a giant killer, a leader, and a king. God looks on the heart. He sees your heart and mine, and He can use us for His glory. I am proud of all of our graduates from Crossway. Joanna and I are proud of our son Eli. To our graduates, and to our whole church: No matter what we are in life, let us all strive to say along with Paul (1 Cor 15:10), "By the grace of God I am what I am"! Lordwilling, I'm looking forward to church tomorrow and I hope to see you there!

From Aaron,
Lordwilling, tomorrow night I will preach and teach on "The Valley of Dry Bones" from Ezekiel 37. Personally, I feel this deals with the greatest miracle of modern times. Then, I'll deal with Ezekiel 38-39 in the next two Sunday School lessons which we will livestream. Those chapters deal with the Gog-Magog War, an interesting war that has ties to many things we see today.
While I'm on here, I'd like to say once more: Jesus is the Son of God! He is my Lord!
